Just saw on DT that Suaalii will be rested tomorrow against souths to recover from a niggling shoulder injury.
No mention of replacement.
Never a good idea to play injured players.
How did he injure the shoulder, smashing players in tackles?
Smashing players in tackles is never a good idea either, all you end up doing is hurting yourself, as Radley discovered.
Now Suaalii has hurt himself.
If he continues playing "smash em down" footy he'll be retiring at 24...an injured wreck...burnt out.

That's really going to hurt our efforts in bringing it out of our own end. Toups and now Suaalii,; two of the best in the business. Anyway, all for the best in the long run.
Exactly.
And make effective tackles.
Doesn't surprise me Trent wants to play him in the centres,
If you know any big, fast, muscular wingers who can tackle all comers, and stay on their wing in defence so the likes of Johnston can't just waltz down the sideline for tries, contact the club and get them a trial.
The fact that Suaalii is being rested for a minor injury shows this fridays match is not being taken as important as next week. Which is obviously the correct decision. That being the case other important players should also be given freshen up time.

yea it certainly indicates we may be alright with sacrificing this game
Joseph Suaalii hit with concerning act notice by NRL over running style
Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson has spoken of his confidence that Joseph Suaaliiwill commit his future to the club as it emerged the teenage winger had received a warning from the match review committee over his running style.
Confidential can reveal that Suaalii was given a concerning act notice by the MRC after the Roosters win over the Wests Tigers a fortnight ago. The MRC had concerns with an incident in the 27th minute where the 19-year-old was running the ball and was tackled by Nu Brown.
Suaalii avoided a charge but was warned that he should be careful in future. The MRC’s interest in Suaalii has been mirrored by rugby union in recent weeks, prompting speculation he could be on the receiving end of a mega-deal from the rival code.
The Roosters’ contract with Suaalii has an out clause at the end of next season, which would allow him to switch codes or join another club.
