We're the better team and have the better coach. Home advantage too.

One thing the Roosters kickers wont get this finals game is the time they had in the round 25 game. Obviously they had the Turbo kicking plan to nullify Mitchell so will need to do this again.

Not sure if Toops will be back and if he is whether he will be fit or still troubled by the groin.

Hutch will be in the 17 whether in the run on 13 or on the bench one would say.

      If Toops plays
      1. Tedesco
      2. Toops
      3. Hutch
      4. Momirovksi
      5. Suaalii
      6. Keary
      7. Walker
      8. JWH
      9. Verrills
      10. Lodge
      11. N Butcher
      12. Crichton
      13. Radely
      14. Watson
      15. SST
      16. E Butcher
      17. May/Gildart

      If Toops out
      1. Tedesco
      2. Naiqama
      3. Hutch
      4. Momirovski
      5. Suaalii
      6. Keary
      7. Walker
      8. JWH

      11. N Butcher
      12. Crichton
      13. Radlley

I'd rather play Naiqama's son than Naiqama himself. Trent will not let that happen again. The defensive positioning that guy showed for the Milne tries, I've never seen anything like it. If Souths were smart, they would have put more than one bomb to him, because if you watched the way he tried to field that sole high kick...it was an absolute mess. Tries his heart out but just not there, and looks one of the odd ones out in reserve grade as well. Surely Gildart is the worst case scenario and not Kevin.

Why do they take their own sweet time getting off field when they are binned? It's like they have legs of stone all of a sudden and won't move..! Sheer arrogance it is. I remember when the sin bin was first introduced as a family member was the time keeper at Parramatta in Jack Gibson's day. They players had to quickly run off and get out of the field of play as soon as possible..now they all behave like wilful toddlers dragging their blankies around, sucking their thumbs but refusing to go to bed..they should be penalised again for not moving swiftly..

A few of us are still astounded at the negativity on here after Friday night. You would have thought we'd lost with all the hand wringing, dramatics and panic merchants carrying on. Heaven forbid we'd lost the bloody thing..people were watching from all over the world and both the womens and mens team put on a definitive display showing off the Roosters brand in a very professional light. Lots of people from all walks of life who know nothing about rugby league took notice as the stadium opening was an event in itself. You would think people on here would have come on here to show pride and gratitude to the club for the monumental efforts being put into such a hyped up game..but no..we have to whinge and whine and try and brand it as a 'nothing' game..that's just so insulting.

Oh well, there are quite a few of us just waiting to log out over the offseason once the team has finished it's run (here's hoping Sunday 2nd October ) and then we won't be back until Thirteen's game day thread for 2023..

But we have likely lost Manu for at least next week & Toops likely still out also. They lost Murray after 20sec & made a comeback & kept it respectable. They scored with 12 men & we didn't go on with it. They also get Cook & Campbell back. It will also be hard to keep Latrell quiet 2 weeks in a row.
When they scored from Latrell's grubber from 10m out..Teddy was up on the 10m line defending.
No one was in the in-goal covering any kicks.
              In-goal empty...they scored.
Sam Walker ran back from the 10m line in front of the posts but was too late.
Teddy does it all the time.
              He should stop doing it.
He should be defending in the in-goal, coming forward.

Stand by for a grubber-a-thon and bomb-a-thon from Souths.

I have mentioned this before, easy fix, a timer should start the second the Ref sends you off, then how ever long you take to get off the field is added to the 10 minutes.

Certainly our advantage to be playing at Allianz, and to have Rads, Suaalii, and maybe Toops back in.

I always thought that too. The family member I mentioned was pushed over by a very famous Souths player back in the 80's as the player had only served 7 mins in the bin and refused to stay off field for the full 10 mins. It wouldn't happen now of course but back then, they did whatever they wanted. They used an old fashioned stop watch in those days.

Goes both ways, Lattrell was up in the line for Sammy's grubber try also. Sometimes the fullback just can't be back in position which Sammy Walker is good at picking up on.

The thing I'm worried about is Kevin.N bomb catching- it's shaky. Badly need Toops back. Suaalii back is a massive inclusion.

Gotta ask why was an international test player in Gildart playing reserves most of the year for the Tigers? Haven't seen enough of him yet with limited minutes to make judgement.

He will likely be a key player for us now as a specialist centre.
