Goodes did not cut his career short, he retired at 35 as his legs were gone, he had lost his speed and couldn't play top level AFL anymore.

Goodes also was not booed due to racism, he was despised by opposition crowds because he flopped to milk free kicks and he antagonised opposing crowds by feigning to throw spears at them whenever he kicked a goal. The 10 year old girl that called Goodes a gorilla was not due to racism, it's because that's what he looks like - the equivalent of calling a fat person a pig/elephant etc (from memory she was a chubby girl so probably copped that on the playground herself) or calling a very white person albino etc - it was playground bullying, not racism.

Latrell is digging the hole deeper, he gets booed by us because he has been disrespectful of his time at our club and straight out assaulted Manu on the football field for no reason at all, it's got nothing to do with racism.

Maybe the thing to do this game is not boo him and make no noise at all - He would be expecting more booing so when it doesn't happen he may well be thinking whats going on and that may put him off his game rather than another week of booing would.

Wally Lewis was booed as the Australian captain at the SCG , Benny was booed at Lang Park likewise for JWH and Nelson recently at opposition grounds it has nothing to do with race there is always someone who raises the ire of opposition supporters.
We detest the flog because he smashed Joey's face in.
Latrell loves the limelight but is very sensitive to any criticism, you can't have it both ways if you choose to put yourself under the spotlight.

As for booing, its poor in any circumstance. It seems to have gotten worse in the NRL over the past few years. Some of you on here seem to think that paying for a ticket entitles you to verbally abuse someone.

As for 360, they have a clear agenda to drag Latrell down and put Munster up as the posterboy, despite Munster's head kicks, cocaine binges and going missing in games (not to mention his poor kicking cost them the game on the weekend).

i think latrell's best bet at the moment is to maybe put a self imposed media ban on himself.

he is in the media weekly, nothing he says is really outlandish , but it is moderatley provoking, and im not really sure trell really has that true "i dont give a fark " persona , ala jwh, nas, old benny, gus, gal who genuinely dont care what people think of them and play the villain. gus and benny especially.

i suspect latrell does care, despite saying he doesn't, his best bet is to get fit and let his talking be on the field, he prob wont , and frankly i dont really care if he does or he doesnt , but all he is doing is enticing mental anguish for himself by constantly been a media whore.

then it'll be the inevitable im taking a break from the game, which would be a shame given his talent . that includes us rooster fans , we all need a villain, and trell has played his part to a t since going to souffs . however maybe in his long term interest the rabbit should just keep his head in the hole , if he doesnt want it shot off. ( no trell, that isnt a death threat, or racist - just a metaphor).

Yes exactly. If Latrell is going to talk himself up in the media (for the public) then he needs to be prepared to suck it up when fair and balanced criticism comes his way.
