The media started this, I can imagine they asked Trell some leading question about the booing and boooom, they have a headline.

Earlier today I spoke with a long time friend in the music industry and he mentioned getting members tickets and the recent Lattrell episode, we both share a commonality of admiration for various performing artists, sportspeople and intellectuals and most are non white people and when we were younger the colour of someone’s skin never entered our minds nor does it today. It’s the character that defines you. Latrell has a personality disorder which has progressed with age. The guy needs help however these types are always in denial.

That kind of complex view won't register. The conversation is now binary. No context. We boo it's bad.

It is important to remember that at the end of the day, Latrell is a 25 year old kid. Has he wronged us in the past? Absolutely. But he is targeted every day on a racial basis and that is bound to wear anyone down.
I will never like the bloke because of how he treated the club but that he would be frustrated with the constant targeting he gets, and let that frustration boil over, is understandable. Although his anger may in this case be misguided its important to see his perspective- That of a 25 year old who lives his life completely in the public eye.
