No worries at all as we were all traumatised by that year! Sorry my steel trap mind and all... Oh yes..Imagine the Captains Challenge..that could have changed the course of NRL history..

I was working in the city close to the Town Hall and said that Souths will get a parade if they win and I was right. I remember saying to my friends at work that Remi has taken his bat, ball and baguette and gone back home to France...

      Sowards field goal.

      Thought castys try was fine.

My favourite Rooster of all time's 300th game.

Have never watched it in it's entirety.

Funnily enough the only other Roosters game I've never watched was one at the end of a season when Freddie was coach. Against Penrith. In which apparently we played terribly and lost.

Yea that and the 2014 GF. Gross.
Oh that was the time he put Braith at fullback..I remember it was a cold Saturday night and I had the washing machine and dryer going so no-one could hear me scream..

There is one game I would love to see but never have and that was the 2005 regular round match against Canterbury when Adrian got sent off, we were down 16-nil at half time I think and we still won. I have a newspaper clipping saying "Revenge of the Roosters" from the SMH with Ricko jumping up in the air.

      https://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/s...y/summary.html

No footage of that game anywhere to be found and also when you could email the NRL Archives and request a game on DVD as they had released a number of them, they said they didn't have it available for release.

Although I still remember the 2014 Prelim farce against South's where only one team was being smashed repeatedly by them. (forget which Ref?)

I had to ring the local police station & report a robbery in progress.
Call the Paddington Police next time they are closer and more likely to get there in a timely manner.

I think we will win, and win well. We have to gap them early, get up by 20 at half time and keep smashing the MYTH..... I don't think he will make it to the second half.

Then, during the halftime break , a TV commentator will point out that the penalties are fairly even, and both teams are getting a good deal.

I've seen this scenario countless times in the past, but there are people on this forum that honestly believe the ref has no influence on the outcome of the game.

Fun game to play this weekend, for the doubters:
Let's count how many penalties are given to Souffs coming out of their 30 metre zone, and then count the number of penalties given to the Roosters coming out of their 30 metre zone.
Penalties given near halfway, or in the opposition side of halfway are ignored , for obvious reasons.
Lets do that count, and then compare that to the overall penalty count, just for comparison, and see where it ends up.
              I am curious.
And please, no explanations from idiots saying that the Roosters commit fouls, on purpose.
Well said. It will happen...and it will be painful.

1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Not sure what I have witnessed today...& I'm talking about a ref so far out of his depth it's just mind blowing. Is this the best Rugby League has to offer in officials? This hasn't resembled a game that's under control from the start.

Ashley Klein must not referee again this year he was out of his depth and allowed the game to run wild.

How could we play smart when the dumbest you know what is in charge of those grubs? Giving thug Burgess "the benefit of the doubt" for the hit on Teddy ?

After what klown served up this season, and that Tigers loss, he should never have been allowed anywhere near a sudden death game. Absolute farce.

Watch him get the GF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He lost control immediately after the kick off.

Just once I'd like to see our guys lay on the ground, clutching their neck and writhing in pain after a slight head glance. It seems to work for the vermin. Alternatively, they could just insert a brain and flog the filth like they should have.

I've never heard Blocker and Vossy defend the Roosters so much..I had to turn it off as they started playing Gory Gory..don't know if that was the PA at the ground or Fox..

That out of control grubfest was all on the cat Klein. Starting with his bin for Victor.

The referee was not the reason we lost today at all. However, the fact there were 7 sin bins is down to the fact Klein was enormously out of his depth to the point where players were endangered. I'll give an unbiased view of it, Burgess was KOd with that headslam directly as a result of his dogshot on Teddy and the elbow he did in the 2nd half. As a result, its a powderkeg and it bursts. All the fault of the referee. It's cause and effect. Rads had to react to Tatolas grubby slap because if he didn't the ref wouldn't do anything. It goes both ways.

A number of players ruled out of the game as a result of the refs incompetence and lack of control. Blood on his hands. Add in the Tigers bunker debacle and he should never officiate again. Clearly not fit for it.

If PVL and his sudekick Abdo had any common sense they would use the off season to clean house in the referees office. Start with Anusley then get rid of Sutton, Cummins and the Klown once and for all. Season after season the officiating gets worse. Its ruined the game I grew up watching.

I did at half time but they never showed up again.
