Jazz, without question. Best prop since Beetson, and arguably on a par with the immortal one when you consider his longevity and consistency over those 13 seasons.

Special mention to SST. For a year or two there he was probably the best prop in the game. Pity his knees didn't hold up.

Beetson is a legend, the BEST Prop from any team in any era.

I first saw him in 1966 when he just about beat a ferocious pommy pack single handed.

15 years later he captained Queensland to a win in the first Origin game

They played EIGHTY MINUTES back then.

He was the strongest, the most skillful and probably the quickest prop in the game for 14 years.

He created more tries in one season that Jared will do in his entire career.

I love Jared, he's the best prop of the modern NRL era, no question...... but he is no Beetson.

Couldn't agree more, JWH wins that poll in Secretariat fashion and is up with Webcke and Petro as the best since Lazarus but Artie was in a different league.
Artie is the greatest forward of all time to have ever laced a boot on.

No point trying to compare Artie and JWH the eras are too far apart. Now is all about the power running and trying to get a quick play the ball. None of that back then, it was all proper scrums, 5m instead of 10m, and lots of biffo. I think Jared would have had fun back then but he would have been playing a totally different game.

They were very good for a few years for us - then got a few injuries unfortunately. If the rest of the team were any good we could of went somewhere on the back of those two.

In artie's era they played 80 minutes in a significantly slower paced game than we see today, NRL today makes classic origin contests seem in slow motion so those eras can't be compared. Some would say Ray Stehr was a lot better than Artie.
