Putrid second half from the Bears.

Bears Eliminated - disappointing second half - typical of the season one has to say - very inconsistent season

A Clint Eastwood side - be good / bad and ugly in the same game

Both games were very disappointing, the bears have been up and down all year and the Flegg boys have just run out of puff.

Flegg team were untouchable until King, Deakin and Wong were pushed up to the Bears a couple of months ago.....hope it helped their development, it's pretty much cost the Fleggers the premiership.

Very disappointing exit for the Bears in what looked like a winnable comp for them.

In fairness at their peak this year they had guys like Tapuha and DSF and May dominating the middle, Lam orchestrating in the halves and even Suaalii out wide.

                          Different team now unfortunately.

I think the rule for eligibility to play in finals in the NSWRL Comps is that you have had to play at least 8 games in that grade during the year.- Stops clubs from dropping back players to lower grades to play finals footy..

As the Roosters had two lower grade sides in the finals the player could play either grade age permitting but if only one side then the above rule comes into play

The old days you could play any grade age permitting if a club had 3 sides in the finals or 3 games out of the last 5 in that grade if less than 3 sides playing finals - NSWRL clubs would often drop first players back to reserve grade to qualify for finals when the first grade side couldn't make the finals.

Be interesting to see if Deakin/Wong and King Qualify for Jersey Flegg selection for next weeks preliminary final vs Penrith.
