If Souths hadn't played like grubs odds are the Roosters win and we'd all be praising Robbo.

We had the possession and opps to score in that second half but couldn't ice the finishing touches with a rearranged backline of Momo, Hutch, Watson and Naiqama.
What a horrible backline - where are the Momo supporters now - are they going to tell us still he is great defensive centre? Honestly.. defensively he makes terrible choices.

Really?! They played with passion and honestly were dismantled by high tackles which took us back to 13. Souffs players lay down and hope for penalties, we get up and play the ball SST didn’t want to stay down. I don’t blame our boys getting frustrated because I feel like taking someone’s head off after that dog $hit from Souffs!

Robbos generally on point, but seems to have a problem getting over Souths, I was confident until I heard him weighing in about Latrell, after that I thought here we go, getting too emotionally invested.

Agreed, this year it was one questionable selection choice after the other and his use of the bench majority of the year was mind boggling

It felt at stages like the return of Brian Smith.

I'll trust that he changes strategy and gets it right next year, although with the World Cup i'm expecting another slow start

It did end up coming back to bite us, Coggy is right that our approach to far too many games was of a casual nature early in the season.......it was intentional for a big run late to not burn the players out but not finishing top 4 has cost us big time in the end, frustrating.

I much prefer the approach of always keeping close to the top 4 and turning it off/on when required, that's usually Robbo's style...but yeah not this season.
Robinson never shows concern. The bloke dead panned press conference last year where he had more players injured than he had fit. It’s just not his style he demands individual accountability but never calls out players or playing groups publicly.

You either see it as a weakness or a strength, I see it as a strength and admire his consistency. What happens behind closed doors would be very different, we shouldn’t be judging a coaches desire or concern on what they show in the press conferences.

I loved his supposed tackle on Lattrell when he scored. Can't even do a basic legs tackle....FMD against 11 men also.

True that we should've won those, but what bearing does the past have for this game, or if we had a second bite of the cherry.. Our main strike players were either rubbed out early on, or not playing due to injury (Manu). A full strength Rooster side wins that as I don't think souths are anything special, but I'd say bad luck played the main role for season being over, and not Robbo.

Rooster Cogburn your fishing on the internet has been famous for over 20 years now you caught many fish disparaging Brad Fittler in 2001 and Trent Robinson has been some of your best bait and arguably your best ever
