I have to agree with Ray.

Too casual in the first half of the season and missed our chance to get an easier route to the finals.

I’m not a fan of Robbo’s approach to the season. It’s bit him on the backside for a few years now. Let’s hope he can learn from these mistakes and lead us to glory next season. We are at our best when we play for minor premierships and GFs.

Indeed....we were never gonna beat the Riff this yr but we had a top 4 roster...and we couldn't even win one finals match because Trobbo played his cards in Rd 25...

I reckon Trobbo could make a good WNRL coach....he's have the hens peeking in Rd 5 hehe

Sorry to say but Trobbo has lost a lot of Cred over the last few yrs. Seems more interested in being a media darling or an NRL yes man and playing politics eg. pride rights and WNRL gimmick ball supporter etc.
Surpassed in the coaching peeking order by Fitzy (our true coaching achiever) and even Payton. All he needs to do is shave his head and we can call him our Brad Arthur

Took 2/3's of the year to work out Walker and Keary needed to be swapped around...our season changed then but it was too late and we were required to win too much which took it's toll in the end.

Since 2019 we are 1 out of 5 wins in finals football and that was a flukey win against the woeful titans. Only the eels would be proud of that record lol

Lol...shave his head & call him Brad Arthur.

Mind you he has 3 more premierships than Brad Arthur.

A lot was invested in that Rd 25 game which was weird considering the top 8 spot was already secured. Resting Manu with a tight calf was the way to go.

True but the game has moved on and totally changed since 2019 ended. Are we gonna live in the past like souffs supporters gloating over 20 odd premierships? Trobbo is yesterdays hero...Needs to focus purely on the Chooks and not French rugby league or whatever. Maybe next yr he will be finished with counting his cash from his 5 yr contract.

Exactamondo. Playing Manu was a mistake in r25, as was playing Teddy vs the tigpies and even Topou today...clearly his groin wasn't right..

Robinson said post game that Tupou trained really well all week, easy in hindsight to say he got it wrong but I think everyone would’ve played if he trained all week at 100% and didn’t pull up with any issues.

Agree on not giving Manu & Teddy rests during the season but I also understand the urgency in needing to make the 8.

Robbo is the best coach we’ve ever had.

we also won’t win another premiership with him.

the game has passed him by. The shitty rule changes, the rewarding of milking and laying down, the crappy stop start momentum of games now, none of it fits Robbo’s style of footy.

our attack has been utter shit all year. Keary and Walker look like a couple of finches out there most games. Our game plan basically comes down to hoping teddy and Manu put something on as was seen most horribly tonight when we had neither of them out there.

we also have the ticking time bomb of Jared’s retirement that will slam our premiership windo shut.

Robbo has it in him to coach us to victory, but his prideful approach of playing a certain brand of football is costing us

Training is totally different to a game...just miss only one game? These injuries require longer...clearly a desperation move by trobbo.

Our season was busted when we lost to the dogs after a loss to the dragons. And Rd 1 was a 3 out of 10 when a 6 or 7/10 performance was required.

We didn't let the wrong coach go.

Fk some of you boys have the memories of a sieve. You can't think beyond the past year.

Memories can be pleasant, but they are nothing more than fragments from the past. We must be planning in the present for the future. As a few on here have said, Robbo's method has been stifled and thus essentially made redundant in the modern game, unfortunately. I would so much love to be proved wrong, to be forced to retract my opinion, but as long as the drunks have the keys to the bar our honest Easts way will prove to be ineffective. I love Robbo and I credit him with providing me with so much football pleasure during the last decade. Players and coaches come and go. All I want is what is best for the team.

people said robbo cost us the 2020 season by not going hard in the last regular season game and now they're saying he cost us the season by going too hard in the last regular season game.
playing toops today was a risk but it's knockout footy and if we'd rested him and lost people would have complained that robbo didn't pick him even though he'd passed all fitness tests.
