This post wasn't a sledge on him although it does look like it. I should have elaborated by saying that the Souths fan art dealer Steve nateski has no idea what he is talking about.

No sledge on Suaalii..... he will be very good, but he is not a first grade fullback YET. Losing Teddy was HUGE, if he stays on we win that game. I think that experience will be a long term benifit for Suaalii.

WTF is with that 'art dealer' guy anyway? Never heard of him and doubt we'll ever hear about him again. However, that bitter 'article' talked as if he's some widely respected expert.

Fark the 'art dealer'... doesn't even make sense in the context of footy.

he was a ball hog yesterday. He was my player of the season for the chooks but yesterday, he got greedy when he could have found a teammate to score.
He will only get better. I feel like yesterday was a wasted opportunity for our club. such a shame

He supposedly 'discovered' Suaali'i as a kid and looked after him througout his junior career. Now that he has gone to the Roosters and has mentors of the calibre of Teddy, Robbo and Nick he obviously feels like yesterdays news and is merely trying to stay relevant in the kids life

Fullback has a lot to do in the organizing of defence. Suaalii has a long way to go in terms of experience.
I'm getting sick of this notion that everybody wants to be a fullback.

yep, put on a bit more muscle in the off season and play in the centres. manu, suaalii and teddy will be like nsw in origin with mitchell and turbo in the centres

I'd rather Suaalii stayed on the wing.
In the modern game you could say that winger is a far more important position then centre.

Suaalii i thought did very well when he had to slot into fullback especially considering how disjointed our back line was and became even more during the match.

Unfortunately we had little choice yesterday once Teddy left the field, Suaalii was really our only option after that seeing Manu was on the sidelines.

The Art dealer big noting himself that he discovered Sualli, is like Jerry Seinfeld asking George who his favourite explorer was.
                        George: DeSoto
                        Jerry: why DeSoto ?
                        George: He discovered the Mississippi
Jerry: "Oh yeah like they wouldn't have found it anyway !"

.... totally agree, just sounds like Sualli has passed Mr Art D by, and he's just trying to stay relevant and keep his 15minutes of fame going !

A very important but not noticed detail very often is the fullback organising the numbers and Teddy is great at it. Once he left the field we struggled to number up even when we had extra players on the field.
I said to my mate at the game I would have put Watson to fullback and it would have allowed everyone else in the backline to stay in their positions instead of completely shuffling everyone around.
We missed Suaalii's hit ups off the wing and his aerial dominance on kicks once he went to fullback and Watson would have been better at sniffing around the ruck.
He is a terrific athlete but to my observation very right sided dominant and suited to that side of the field better.

Connor Watson has played plenty of 1....

I agree he is a long way off being the finished product and remember everyone who jumped to his defense next year he is on pretty big dollars to be a work in progress and if he wants one-year extensions that go up you don't get much leeway in my opinion.

Impossible to judge him on that. In saying that he did look comfortable under the high ball made two takes look very easy that were far more difficult than what they looked. One being when he got back to his in goal to get the seven tackle set. It isnt easy concentrating on getting back in goal and taking a bomb at the same time Another a bomb that he caught above his head AFL style
