The ongoing get square with Mitchell for historic misdemeanors was was in addition to the get even in the Forwards and Mitchell fuelled it for all it was worth. Quite clearly the Souff's strategy was rope-a-dope and it turned out to be a winner. Absent Manu's and Teddy's double act we were gonners unless discipline was strictly followed and, as others have pointed out, that didn't happen.
