The Riot squad cops don't fark around and will put them into place including the wannabes hoodlums who think it's cool to emulate Euro soccer and light flares
Dont bet on it mate. They’ve been saying for years that they are going to stamp out that sort of behaviour and it’s still happening.

You can put the best preventative and security measures in place but it's always going to be a tough gig stopping a farkin idiot smuggling a flare into a venue i.e adults are using kids to get them in.
Seriously how imbecilic and downright reckless is it to use a flare other than its intended use. Law enforcement needs to come down tougher on culprits regardless of age or reason.

They need to open the gates ealier and search supporters properly. You could literally take in guns to our venues easily. A few.places I've gone to the NFL their security is beyond thorough. Search inside your hats, pockets out, shoes off if they ask etc etc. Would be very foreign to us here in Australia but our security is a joke

I think that I've unfairly judged the stadium and need to see us nail a few solid wins there before I judge it.

In hindsight the loss to Souffs was a horrible game for Easts fans and they farked up the seating (so it was a bit awkward for everybody because Souffs/Easts fans were all scattered amongst the same areas rather than given their own space).

The game was a shytestorm with soooo much stoppage, foul play and unnecessary interference. I'm just gonna write it off as one of those games to forget. Call me a wanka but it was far less toxic losing to the Cows (and being bundled out of the finals as an absolute shock) than it was to lose under circumstances where the took-out our captain + Crichton and then played us minus Toops, Manu, Collins and Rads (for a decent period). The game was shyte so a better view of it wasn't really a premium feature. It was loud and the view was... a footy game. People promised me it'd look much better but I just didn't see that.

Let's see next season when we're playing some more free flowing footy without all the bull!

Regarding the view, it felt no different to the old SFS. Gee i wished they just built a.replica of Commbank, maybe just a touch bigger

Agree security here is poor and unfortunately, it will take a significant event for the authorities to react. My philosophy is best to be proactive than reactive.

In response to opening up venues earlier it won't work simply because approx 60-70% of supporters of all codes rock up en-masse within 1 hour of the start of play. To conduct thorough searches would mean massive queues and irate fans missing the entire 1st half of the game they've turned up for.
What would work is what they use in your line of work and at the airports.......walk-thru detectors but like always it comes down to $$$$. Well worth it IMO!!!
