It’s lacking intensity and aggression, def not semi final footy.
Souths were completing below 50% at one point, Sharks backline movements are clunky, slow and I’ve lost count how many times the ball has hit the ground. Neither forward pack has grabbed control of the game.
Sad to say but the AFL was more enjoyable to watch.
That Murray try just kind of summed up the game, nothing to it just Sharks not at the races at all.
Soufffs were always gonna win this at a canter. So would we. I hope our players are watching and kicking themselves.
Parra will do the same to the Cows next week. I’ve never seen two top 4 teams kissed on the backside by circumstances more than the Sharks and Cows this year.

The AFL was an absolute thriller of a match We are celebrating the Swans winning here not even watching NRL

Very boring finals this year. Some teams shouldn’t be there at all. No one would have beaten us. Only we did it to ourselves. Hope Penrith slaughter vermin trash. But if they make the gf they’ll win. Opposition is hopeless apart from Penrith.

The two elimination final winners should be rewarded with a home final in week 2 of the finals against the losers of the qualifying finals in my opinion.
Week 1 teams 1 / 2 / 5 and 6 have home finals
Teams 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 if they win then have earned the right for a home final within reason in the preliminary final - noting Sydney teams home finals from week 2 will be/should be either Alliance or Accor due to the lack of capacity at suburban grounds- sure Commbank holds 30k
Week 2 - Two elimination final winners host either of the qualifying final losers.
Thus as above
Souths vs Sharks at Accor
Raiders vs Eels at GIO stadium
In my other opinion the finals series should be 5 weeks
Week 3
The Two winners of the qualifying finals play (team that finished higher during the regular season hosts the game) - winner to the GF in week 5 and loser to the preliminary final in week 4
People also talk about the second chance you get by finishing in the top 4 if you lose in week 1 (qualifying finals) but if you win the first week you don't get that second chance in week 3 if you lose - your eliminated.
It’s an interesting idea but not sure it works on a couple of levels
Top 4 teams who lose the first week should travel to the elimination final winners the next?
Well if you finish 3rd or 4th your reward is to play either of the two best teams in the comp away… so odds are you are going to lose… so then you should again travel away the next week to a team you finished above on the table after 24 rounds?
The teams 5 to 8 are playing lesser opponents the first week. So finish 5th and you’re likely to get two finals at home… finish 4th and you’re likely to get two finals away. Doesn’t make a great deal of sense
As for an extra week… how many times do you want to see these teams play each other before they meet in the Grand Final? Do you really want to see the two top 4 winners in week 1 play each other for a place in the GF…and then likely play each other again 2 weeks later in the actual GF?
That’s why they flip the rankings after week 1… they don’t want to see the same teams play each more than once if they can avoid it
Interesting idea nevertheless
I don’t mind the finals as they are… I’d probably prefer if they returned to a more typically seeded approach though… 1 vs 8… 2 vs 7 etc. but whatever it’s good
Fark souffs. Hope the riff smash them next week
Switched over to the Kent v Lancashire One Day Cricket final. Its more interesting than watching the vermin
