  • Shit show of a game

I'm getting angrier about Sunday as time progresses.

    What a disappointment.

They rattled our cages big time. They completely outfoxed and out gamed us.

What an idiotic performance from us.

Gus said it best, "Latrell made a farce of the game."

Just chilling on one knee after every kick return waiting for the bunker to give him a penalty.

That game was a disgrace to Rugby League. And it was initiated by the officials and Souffs.

They are made for each other.

As the emotions settle, the resentment grows. It was old school, Les Boyd style devastation and, clearly, premeditated. The first hit on Teddy could have been accidental but the second, the third and fourth made the tactic clear to anyone watching just what was going on and now our finals campaign is ended by illegal tactics from yesteryear that took merit out of the win and ruined it as a spectacle,

It will be interesting to see if Souffs continue the tactic. Burgess won't continue to be the hitman, he needs a long suspension but no doubt that was factored in. Maybe Saluka-Fifita will be next man up?

The frustration from our players was evident when Radley got binned for nothing yet Burgess stayed on for the high shot on Teddy. JWH blew up at Klein and you could sense after that we lost our heads.

Clearly we didn’t learn our lessons from Round 1 when they baited us in a similar way.

Yeah right. Demetriou stole the tactic from Gus in the 1988 Grand Final. But commentators are too gutless to call him out. Then the gutless cnut has the nerve to call out JWH.

I couldn't believe you were starting threads about beating Penrith. This was always going to be our banana skin game. I agree, we were hopeless.

In hindsight, our finals campaign ended well before Sunday. JWH fractured hand, Walker fractured arm, Toops we know, many don't know that Manu was already injured, Collins suspension. There was little chance of us beating the panthers with 4 rep players out or hanging on by a thread.

I am happy to move on but I sure hope Robbo blasts some of our players who got so easily baited. All this talk about being tough. Yet they are so mentally weak to get baited and throw away any chance of victory, and not for the first time either.

Our team got easily baited because there are no leaders in the team this would not happen if we had Boyd Cordner and Jake Friend on the field and their absences will hurt our club for many years to come.

We were well on top before taking the bait and we failed to take advantage of them having 11 players on the field. It sucked but its over.

                              I agree

Remarkable that the narrative has been allowed to shift from the bleeding obvious to now we were the grubs and the debacle was all on us

This is Trent’s fault for not manning up post game and calling a spade a spade. The officiating was woeful… that’s the only reason Souths were allowed to get away with their scum tactics and the game descended into farce. And yet somehow Demetriou is being allowed to play the saint now by the media

Our captain… the best player on the planet… was headhunted with impunity. It obviously decided the game… on final evidence we would have won handily… Tedesco had already gone over 100 metres in just 18 minutes. So I don’t blame JWH or Radley in the slightest for being furious with the injustice of it all.

As for Trent saying that when it finally came time to play football we were just outplayed?

Seriously… Souths aren’t much good but he’s utterly deluded if he thought we should have matched them with a dregs of a backline of Naiqama Momorovski Hutchinson and Watson for much of the game

Trent’s the one who needs an HIA the most at the moment… he’s been going soft in the head for awhile now
