In my opinion we got caught up in the hype of wanting to win the opening game at the new stadium. We took our eye off the long term prize for a fleeting second, and it came back to bite us big time. I was an advocate for resting the likes of Teddy, Manu and JWH in that game but there were others saying that we would give up momentum if we went in on the back of a hiding from Souffs

How would resting Teddy and JWH made a difference to the result in the semi? Manu was a ticking time bomb and could have done his calf at training or during the game the way our luck was going.

We were gone because of Teddy being intentionally targeted. Toups was not ready obviously but with him as well as Gus being knocked out was the difference between the teams.

Trying to win a game with the backline we had in the second half would not have been avoided with resting all our players in R25.

I can't understand why people are still looking for scapegoats to find a reason for our loss. Look no further than the coward Souths coach and thug that fulfilled his gutless tactic.
