We shouldn't really be naming people here.

After all it's not the blokes fault, most people would love to be in that company if given the chance.

If he's a mate of Ricko and fletch it's their fault, they shouldn't have bought him along.

    You know it makes sense.

What makes you think it wasn't him?

The guys name is Simon (wont give his last name) but his nickname is 'Likeable', because, wait for it..... He's likeable.

He's a mate of mine from around the traps, and he's a good guy, but I couldn't believe it when I noticed him out there on Saturday night. I laughed me a head off at the time, but in all seriousness, it's bloody un professional by the club.

As Stsae said, It's hardly Simon's fault . He went away with the team on the end of year trip in 2002, he was drinking with the boys all day last Saturday, one of them, probably Ricko, would of said "You should come on the field with us, it'll be sweet". Simon would of said "Shit yeah!". I'm sure a lot of people would do the same thing.

I reckon it's bad form, to different extents, by all those involved.

But I laughed at the time so I suppose it's also a bit funny.

On Fletch, and I hate to say this, but he's a South's man. Went for them as a kid and goes for them now. Believe it or not he actually has a real dislike for the Roosters

Probably. I have vague memories of my sister and I lamenting about the fallout, after his fiancee dropped him. He took it very hard.

Then why is he a Roosters sponsor and was Todd Carney's sponsor as well? You don't give $11,000 a year to a club you really dislike.

Fletch did go for Souffs as a kid. I know this for a fact. He still loved playing for us, didn't want to leave but the reality was we couldn't anywhere near match what Souffs offered. He told me that in 2002, just before he signed.

I know Craig Field he was an Easts ball boy, played in our juniors for years but we wouldn't grade him. Souffs did. We still gee each other up when we play, luckily I get him more than he gets me. He hates us. As he says we didn't want a bar of him, why should he show any loyalty.

Sometimes that's the way it goes. Players are professionals, doesn't mean they dont have their favorite teams when their kids. Or doesn't mean they don't get burned along the way.

I grew up in Paddo and knew all the Field kids.

His brother Rohan played for Paddington Woollahra RSL and Craig played for the Paddo Colts.

His Dad played for Easts in the 70's I believe.

Yeah Mick Field, well known identity in the Eastern Subs.

Fieldsy is coaching Cudgen up here now mate, retired last season. He's a sparkie again, funny bloke, loves a beer and a punt.

One of his kids plays against my boy. We had a laugh watching them just a couple of weeks ago at the schools carnival. It's ironic here we are two 40yr olds who played juniors against each other watching our kids do the same thing. and our Dads knew each other and were doing the same thing at our ages, watching their boys play against each other after they'd done the same as young fellas.

                    Fark I'm getting old, reminiscing.

The Fieldsy thing was a couple of things..

The club thought Craig was too small & were concerned about his on field attitude..

Certain family members didn't help in the negotiations either..

It was basically a shitfight & Craig was quite rightly pissed off..

But he was a massive Rooster fan when we were kids..Rubbish ball boy though..

                              I remember that guy..

He did the soccer one but the one i remember was when he walked out to bat dressed as a pommy batsman against us at Headingly..

He got onto the field & it wasn't until he took his helmet off that everyone realised he wasn't actually in the pommy side..

He sounds like a funny bastard..I'd love to have a beer with him..
