Ah yes your type of crowd at a sporting event or any event - mmm not a Woman is sight
Compared to modern days crowds
I think Cameron Smith sums it up quite well on Hynes - "He is this year's Dally M winner and a deserving winner."

I gotta pay that.
The sausageathon v having women in the crowd, I know which one I want.
Sometimes you cant live with them but you definitely need them. Women/Females are what makes the world so beautiful.

Fair. I think the should publish the results of every game post the end and who did the game. Wasn’t there a time when Alexander gave a score totally different to what every other commentator of the game thought and it was a Riff game.
I thought ABC Radio gave it to Hunt but stand to be corrected. Does 2GB/4BC one?

Cricket Australia have joint awards nights for both Women and Men Cricket players - I suppose you don't like that either or that the Roosters awards night includes junior rep teams as well as they are having this so called equal representation with the NRL players on the nigh as well
They need to change the name of the awards night to NRL/NRLW awards night and the NRLW awards to the Maggie M - Maggie Moloney a pioneer in Women's Rugby League
Cricket has the Allan Border Medal for the best Male Cricketer and the Belinda Clark Medal for the best Female Cricketer each year so the Maggie M is a no brainer.
mmm it's called research so not quite sure what your saying or meaning vs uneducated posts and responses from particular posters including yourself.
The Dally M Medal for the best and fairest has been 3/2/1' each game since 1979 the same as other previous awards for best and fairest players - Rothman's Medal and Proven Summons - Rothman's Medal though was voted on by the referees under the same 3/2/1 format.
The Sharks won 18 games so one would figure with Hyne's involvement in these wins he deservedly polled well as a result in the 3/2 and 1's
Fred Smith doesn't win the Dally M on the basis he is the best player in the game that particular year as he would only win it if he accumulated the most points during the season.
Hynes may well of won it even if they used the Rugby League Week player ratings out of 10 as it's based on the players performance in each game and not based on who the best player in the NRL is
You need to research how these awards are decided one has to say as it seems you are not across this.
Dally M Winners since 1979 - First Winner was Steve Morris

The Team of the year is selected by a panel of judges - be impossible to have a team of the year based on Dally M points as all players don't play the same minutes week in week out and thus may not accumulate any Dally M points or very few plus certain positions would not accumulate points either or very few. i.e front rowers/wingers for an example
Basically to win the Dally M best and fairest player you need to play 80 minutes week in week our or close to it and be in a position where you have a heavy involvement in the game - i.e halfback/ 5/8/ Dummy Half/ Fullback
Be hard for a front rowers to win it when they may play 50 or less minutes week in week out.
