If the Panthers lose it will certainly take a lot of the smug out of their fanbase. One GF win against a depleted Vermin in 3 years of dominance will hurt.
Chook.
More than one person believes the so-called 'dominance' was because of the rolling 6 agains, lopsided penalty counts and penalties in certain areas and times...in rugba leeg since 2020, and the draws.
Mate, I live in the lower Mountains and i feel your pain. While I'm driving and see them in a jersey it takes all my will power not to flatten them....even more than when i see cyclists slowing traffic
Stay cool mun, they're just people in footy jerseys, not Russian troops invading.
Cyclists are "entitled to a lane, must stay as far to the left of that lane as possible..
They are entitled to ride two abreast but no more than a metre apart". ....or the like the nice lady from Service NSW informed me when I rang.
Best to be very careful near cyclists, you can get into BIG trouble for running into cyclists.
Any team that dominates is insufferable to other club's fans. I wish it was the Roosters fan's that were being called insufferable. Message to Trent...Don't **** up next year.

Maybe, I put their dominance down to their defensive coordination and tackle efficiency, which is the best I've seen in a very long time. Even if a line break is made, they never panic and they never give up. They remind me of us 2002-2004, but they managed two GF's in their window. They are smug pricks, but they can be and I admire them.
"Best to be very careful near cyclists, you can get into BIG trouble for running into cyclists."
or even this variation
"Best to be very careful near humans, you can get into BIG trouble for running into humans.'

3 consecutive GF's and 2 victories means they have earned the right to be as smug as they want to be, and also the right to be the biggest bunch of pr*cks in the NRL, if they want to be.

I honestly have no dramas with them winning as they've invested a lot of time/resources into building their current team and we've all joked about their '5 year plan' since forever.
While I'll only ever support Easts, I don't cringe at them like I would at a Souffs/Drizz premiership.
Winners are grinners any way you look at it and they earn their bragging rights (just like when we win). Hence why I don't bother watching other teams' grand finals. I'm not a footy pundit interested in critically analysing the footy - I'm proudly a blind Easts fan who just wants to see us win. Everybody else can get farked, including Trell-Mitt with his newfound brag gestures.
I'd prefer a Melbourne premiership over this mob. Cannot stand their arrogance. They benefit from the 6 again rule and milk penalties. At least Melbourne were grubs who backed it up. This mob would instigate a fight and then run away. No admiration for their achievements. Sore loser... maybe, but there's such thing as a good loser.

How do they benefit from the 6 again's though - do you have stats on this ?
As far as Penalties go - Penrith were awarded 157 and conceded 156 - Roosters awarded 160 and conceded 159 in 2022
I mean they won B2B during the storm and roosters rebuild years (the 2 strongest clubs in the last 10 years)... and not to mention the post covid game is kind of a farce... you put the riff into the 2018 and 2019 comp and I think they struggle to win 1 of those years let alone 2.. I am bias Ofcourse but I think we had tougher competition in those seasons.

Penrith in 2022 played 14 games against the top 8 sides the most of any team - 10 wins and 4 losses - Roosters 12 - 6 wins and 6 losses
22-20 loss to Parra (only game they lost when full strength ) / 16-0 loss to the Storm(Edwards/Cleary/Luai out) / 34-10 loss to Parra ( Luai/Crichton out and Cleary sent off after 17 minutes) / 38-8 loss to Cowboys( 15 players rested).
Penrith awarded 157 penalties and conceded 156 so hardly a lopsided Penalty count their way. Roosters awarded 160 penalties and conceded 159
Lot of nonsense about rule changes and what not benefiting some teams as all teams are affected by these - some teams have adjusted better simple as that.
