  • 2022 Rugby League World Cup

This will be the best World Cup ever because 5 teams can win it instead of only 3.
So far the Chooks have 10 players who have been picked, I know Naiqama & SST have left the club.

    England Radley
FIJI Naiqama, Karawalevu and Siua Wong
    NZ JWH, Manu
    Somoa Suaalii
    Tonga Toups SST

    Now this one is interesting
Ireland Luke Keary. I hope he doest get injured, I hope none of them get injured but especially him. These guys just love playing Rugby League no matter what.

You can add Teddy, Collins & maybe Lodge.
I think NZ will win it. Australia & NZ are in the same pool so they cant play each other in the final.

Looking forward to watching Siua Wong. I've never seen him play and there's a bit of hype around him.

So 8 regular NRL players involved - Radley/JWH/Manu/Suaalii/Toops/Keary/Tedesco/Collins - all would return to pre-season mid late January 2023. Should be okay though as one would assume they would maintain a certain level of fitness during the break between the world cup and pre-season training.

You used to read articles about players returning to pre-season carrying a fair bit of weight which seemed daft knowing they would be flogged in pre-season training and even more so when carrying the extra weight - I assume they still train during the day.

You would think as professional players they would maintain a certain level of fitness during the off season which would mean they would be able to cope better with the rigours of pre-season training.

Old Elvis used to pack on the weight and lose it all for when he went on tour - In the end he didn't bother losing the weight

Laurent Frayssinous will be the French Head Coach and Robbo in his Director of French Rugby League role his advisor

All the French Squad are players that play ESL

I assume Robbo maintains his French fluency level

France are in a group alongside Samoa, Greece and hosts England at the World Cup.

Robbo may tip off the French players in how to get Radley agitated

In 2025 they will host the RLWC so this one will be building towards the 2025 one.

MMM Maybe some cap room for another French player perhaps ?

                  This may be of interest.

My only interest in the Rugby League World Cup is hoping Roosters players don't get injured.

I don’t give a shit about international league. It’s not an international game and never will be. I’d prefer our players have a longer off season and relax in preparation for next year.

For those who care, I hope you enjoy it.

I love these games as a spectacle and looking forward to it very much. Of course we don't want any Roosters harmed in the making of this series. That goes without saying but a lot of players and their families really take pride in these events and should be respected as such.

won't get up in the middle of the night to watch games but will keep an eye on it. if international league gets stronger then rugby league in this country is stronger.
after the group games it will be competitive. hope the roosters boys kill it

I heard it on SEN that Australia & NZ cant play each other in the final but by the look of the format if both win their pools then they can play in the final.
