Some Interesting Stats- regular season games.
Many are saying how the Sharks had an easy draw with only 9 games against other top 8 sides - 4 wins and 5 losses.
Any team can have the luck of the draw though as who knows how teams will perform the following year when the draw is based on the previous years placings - i.e In 2018 and 2019 the Roosters played more games against bottom 8 sides than top 8 sides as well
Certainly the Roosters need to improve their win -loss ratio against other top 8 teams
Roosters Premiership Years
2018 - 11 games against other top 8 sides - 5 wins and 6 losses - 13 games against bottom 8 teams - 11 wins and 2 losses
2019 - 10 games against other top 8 sides - 6 wins and 4 losses - 14 games against bottom 8 teams - 11 wins and 3 losses
Penrith's Premiership Years
2021 - 12 games against other top 8 sides - 11 wins and 1 loss - 12 games against bottom 8 teams - 10 wins and 2 losses
2022 - 14 games against other top 8 sides - 10 wins and 4 losses - 10 games against bottom 8 teams - 10 wins and 0 losses
Roosters
2021 - 12 games against other top 8 sides - 5 wins and 7 losses - 12 games against bottom 8 teams - 11 wins and 1 loss
2022 - 12 games against other top 8 sides - 6 wins and 6 losses - 12 games against bottom 8 teams - 9 wins and 3 losses

I agree with the experts/those in the know opinion of Paul Momirovksi as a player one has to say and not those of the arm chair nevilles.
Momirovski joined the Panthers in another swap deal, paving the way for him to play 19 games on his way to a maiden premiership.
Now he will be rewarded with a long-term deal at the Panthers after chief executive Brian Fletcher confirmed the underrated centre was part of the club’s long-term plans following the departures of outside backs Matt Burton and Brent Naden to Canterbury.
“We’ll sit down with Paul and the retention committee in the new year and discuss his future – I’d say he will be a Panther for a while, that is for sure,” Fletcher said about Momirovski, who is contracted until the end of 2022.
“He is a great player, and he has been a great asset to our club.

Robbo obviously had his eye on him though
“It’s really exciting to welcome Paul back to the Roosters. He is a highly-skilled and intelligent player who has gained a lot of experience throughout his football journey so far, and we’re looking forward to seeing him add to that back in Roosters colours,” said Roosters Head Coach Trent Robinson.
In returning to the Roosters, Momirovski will be reuniting with fellow graduates of the Roosters pathway program including Joseph Manu, Connor Watson, Victor Radley, Nat Butcher, Sitili Tupouniua, Ben Marschke and Ben Thomas who were his teammates in the Roosters’ 2016 Under 20s Premiership-winning season.
Momirovski was also captain of the title-winning Roosters SG Ball side of 2014.

The Roosters of 2018-19 played a different game we could defend a man down no problem, before all this rubbish milking and 6agains plus 2 refs policing the 10 meters, the ruck and general play would have strangled the life out of the Panfers it would be close but the mentality of that side was killer instinct defended every blade of grass like the very lives depended on it.
We conceded three tries all finals series in 19 and 4 in our 18 run in this modern game we would be policed out of the match not taking anything away from Penrith they scaled the mountain twice just like us but in very different circumstances.

I think people enjoy nostalgia a tad too much and are not really seeing that this Penrith team is a serious footy side as is their club and if they keep their heads and focus there is no reason why they cannot win more premierships especially with their production line of players
It is up to other clubs to combat Penrith's simple game plan as well they should be well aware of it by now since they have been playing this way for 3 seasons and should have plans to combat it - they don't have 15 game plans - they are very robotic over 80 minutes.- that is one key though you need to play 80 minutes against them as otherwise your not a hope.
You can see every game how teams struggle for yardage from their own end and the last tackle kick has Penrith back in possession on tackle 1 or 2 in the oppositions half - you know when this is happening the other team will eventually crack - missed tackles in D and or lose possession - Penrith score and they will go through the same process again and again and again like someone has pressed the repeat button.
Parra had some success with angle running and off loads through the ruck vs Penrith in previous games but in the GF they were not able to get this going and were basically strangled out of the game.
Other teams could copy this Parra Method but you need more than this though when unable to do this.
You will need to chance your arm and play expansive footy in your half to break the strangle hold and or have a general play kicker with a big boot who is able to drive the ball down field to the corners so Penrith have to ruck it out from their end.
Your kick chase and defence needs to be up to it and also avoid giving away penalties to piggy back them back down the field.

Most opinionated person on this forum. No one can have an opinion that goes against your own beliefs without you trying to force your opinion down their throat.
I stand by my opinion that Momirovski would not make it in a combined squad from both teams. Not even Robbo would select him.

Just because something is posted on here it doesn't make it the view/opinion we should all accept or that it is off limits to any critique/criticism/debate or counter arguments though.
The original poster said you can't argue with many in his team and thus he hopes it will stop all the arguments on this topic - mmm on what basis does that finish such a debate though - because his team is the one we all should accept - It don't work like that in a democratic country
Ditto your statement that "Not even Robbo would select him" which is based on no corroborating facts at all - did you garner Robbo's thoughts on this - of course you didn't but you post it like it is fact.
You have a go at me about Momirivski being one of the 2 reserves in my combined team (i.e 18th player) but then fail to post a team yourself even
I have particular posters on the ignore list who are known trolls/bigots and tossers as their archaic views and beliefs are of no interest to me one iota.
It's quite easy to do - if you don't like people's posts then put them on the ignore list - just like a comedian dealing with hecklers they have the microphone

Whatever your thoughts on Momo are, they are your thoughts and good for you. I do however, think i'd be pretty safe in saying that 99% of people asked who were in the know about footy would NOT have him anywhere near the side given you could argue even young Tago is much much better than him (who directly replaced him) and the Riff have improved since he rejoined us.Last edited by HunchoRooster; 10-08-2022, 09:07 PM.

How about you accept their opinion as their own, disagree and state your point but leave the name calling out of it.
