  • Terrell May Future

What will happen with the big fella next season? I read somewhere he signed a 3 year extension with us? Was that confirmed?

I really like him. He is raw and young. Has so much potential but Robbo doesn't seem to give him a sniff. I want to see him get 30 mins a game next season and a bench spot.

My Pamfer's mates who were at the GF after party said they saw him there celebrating with some of the Riff boys. That's fairly understandable given his brother is in the team and played junior footy with the bulk of them. I do think though what it means is that if we don't want him or give him enough mins, he will likely leave to the Riff and become anything in their system. My mates also told me how huge the bloke truly was in person and that he was bigger than every other Penriff player except Kikau.

I like the 4 prop rotation. I have no probs with Robbo having him off the bench to start next season. I think it all depends on how B Smith is used from hooker and how much he runs from there

Full strength (when has this ever happened) I see a bench of:

          Watson
          Sitili
          E.Butch
          Collins

I’d like to see Egan out on the edges. Think he’d run riot out there.

I like Sitili off the bench for impact. He can be a weapon for us. I also think he’d go better not being an 80 minute player at this stage of his career.

Yeah people attack his defence but IMO he's evasive (Guerra style) and regularly adds an extra one or two line breaks into our game at key moments.

Don't wanna go back to our finals too much (or suggest we woulda won with him) but with Sitili on our bench there's an argument we mighta fared better during the 2022 finals as he coulda gone to centre.

                    Think...

                    - Cheating Bastard gives us Keighran to cover for Teddy (so Sua'ali'i moves to FB and Kieghran slots into centre).

                    - Momirovski moves to wing for Toops while Sitili moves to the centres.

                    - Egan replaces Gus in the back row.

                    - Pigs are still JWH, Verrills, Lodge, Butch, Butch and Rads.

Still probably not our night but I think Sitili's an under-rated member of our squad.

Terrell May is bang average for me. Not a regular First grader. Doesn't run with any steam behind him, and in first grade looked puffed after 20 mins a game. Hopefully we stop messing around with Hutch on the bench, and get Tuku, Wong, Va'a or Butcher 2.0 (prefer the first 3) over May on the bench.

The Hutchinator will most likely be the second dummy half/Utility with Watson continuing on with his running forward role

Siua Wong is a second rower so if being considered he would be in contention for a bench spot with E Butcher- Tuku Hau Tapuha is off contract ( no contract for 2023) at this stage.

                        So the bench could be

                        14. Hutch
                        15. Watson
                        16 .E. Butcher
                        17. May or Baker

Sitili Tupouniua and Billy Smith won't be available until June/July if 12 month ACL recuperation which they tend to favour

Jack Turpin is on our radar as well. We need a centre winger that has pace and is willing to carry the ball back and make metres.

Word is that Turpin will be a Dolphin in 2023

I suspect Wong is a bigger talent than Egan. Tuku would be a huge loss simply because of how big he is, combined with speed and skill. I don't see the point of Hutch next year with Smith there. He's an 80 minute hooker
