We seem to have a lot of players in our 30 who are being paid but never play first grade.
Lose 3 players on $240,000...and there's your $700,000

We have no players who never play first grade on anywhere near 240k, think 80 to 120 for any players in that category. Even if we did it still would not free up 700k would it... You still have to replace the 3rd player as well dont you.

I would swap Momo and Collins for Turbo and Jurbo, but we would need to come up with another $700K per year to make it happen. If you could get both Tom and Jake for $1.4 million. That's $850K for Tom and $550K for Jake

As much as they like Des i am pretty sure they will not be willing to take a combined 600k paycut to play for anyone. They will suck it up and stay at Manly.

Only Benny Thomas from the development contract players played any NRL minutes this year - Benny Marschke and Tuku Hau Tapuha zero minutes.

Of the Original full NRL Contract players still with the Roosters only Renouf Atoni and Naufahu Whyte didn't play any NRL in 2022.

Later in the year they added Sandon Smith and Siua Wong to the squad and Tom Carr to the extended bench list - none played any NRL

He will be a top prop as his game matures - one thing he needs to get out of his game is that third man in rubbish - 3 times charged when doing these tackles which ended with a 4 week stint on the sideline at a crucial time of the season.

Yes... and even if they did leave, they'd go to the Dolphins. Why would Turbo take centre and 800k at most at the Roosters if he can take 1.whatever million, fullback and star player with Bennett at the Dolphins. Ditto for Jurbo
