I think that it will be alright so long as he is around for finals. He has mongrel which is good, and his absence will provide chances for some of our younger forwards to come in and have a go.

Conn is an okay signing, but JWH looks the goods. We could play Myles and Paea up front with JWH in the backrow, or swap Myles and JWH around. Either way, he can cause some damage.

He seems to have pretty poor lateral movement, but is aggressive enough.

At one time he went for about 3 shoulder charges in a row.. none connected though which was funny but looked dramatic.

I think that was just him trying too hard to spark something for Manly. That's a young bloke for you.

He is a solid player, physically has got it and his head is in it.

Lets not rate a front rower at the age that he is at, lets rate his potential because that's pretty much the only thing we can speculate on. Remember, front rowers usually really hit their straps around their mid-20s.

didnt watch the game but if your saying he had poor lateral movement then he will fit in well here.

Is a great buy for this club and will turn a few heads next season.
This bloke will only be a decent buy if he is coached properly, which won't happen under our present coaching staff.

He's young enough so that being at the Roosters can make or break his career - unless there are big changes made within the club I reckon they could break it.

On a serious note I thought he held his own today, his first contact is always very strong. Not sure why they had him playing out wide, looks like a prop through and through to me... his lateral defence leaves a little to be desired but in the middle of the field I think he'll do fine. Like Morley, Myles and Crocker I can see him spending some time on the sidelines and copping a whole lot of crap from the same supporters but he wont be the first to put some egg on their faces.
I know better than most. And seriously you hit the nail on the head. His lateral movement......Bingo!!! Thats the crucial element of the modern day forward....speed across two planes. The point everyone seems to have missed is with our coaching Hargreaves will do **** all. No, Ill wager he goes backwards within a year.

Every knob here is focusing on team line ups. Im telling you if we dont replace teh entire training staff we wont win another game ......until 2012! NO MATTER WHO WE SIGN.

                  That is true, unfortunately.

Our staff seems to be unable to get the best out of our players.

I can imagine how good Sa, Symonds, SKD, Perrett, Pearce, Friend, SKD, Cherrington, Nuuausala and Jones would be under good coaches. Our playing structure and player support is terrible.

What the? Symonds, SKD, Perret, Friend, FPN and Jones have all been much improved compared to last season!

You are comparing to a horribly low base.

I am comparing to their seasons last year. Individually, our players haven't been bad this year. We haven't played as a team

No, individually our players have been terrible. You sound like the posters on the wall.. 'Our young guys are going great', 'Don't blame the senior players, they are going well', 'Don't blame the coaching staff', 'Don't blame recruitment'.. You would swear we were in the Top 8.

Of course not but even our best are barely first grade standard. The only guys who have consistently played at a First Grade standard are Perrett, Fitzgibbon, Anasta, Myles and maybe at a stretch Pearce given how little he has to work with out wide.

Actually, Kramer has a good point.

The Players, more often than no are doing well in their induvidual fields, they are getting their personal stats up.

unfortunatly thats where we are lacking, we are not working as a team, our forwards do their hit ups and they do what they believe is enough, and yes induvidually it may be, our backs, make the runs, catch the bombs, ect ect, i hope you see where i am getting at.

As a team unit, they are not performing.

Lets take the dragons as an example. watch how they play. they play as one unit, i would not say regimented, but they play for each other and trust in eachothers ability, Bennett has harnessed this perfectly and that is why they are on top and we are not.

They have the induvidual ability to do anything, as a team though.....they can't.
