Our players haven't been terrible at all. The team has been terrible. You throw many of our current players into successful teams, and see how many people will be talking them up. We have a good bunch of players individually, we just need them to work together, support eachother and have that confidence like we did last season. I have played in teams with awesome players before, but we haven't done well. And I have played in teams with average players, but we were successful. The victory is the sum of the 17. If we played as a team, we could have made the top 8

Exactly. We have young talent that would PROSPER in other more structured teams where the staff gives the players the sort of mental support and development they need.

Any one of Symonds, Pearce, SKD, Perrett, Jones, Cherrington, Friend, Nuuausala, Myles, Sa or the Aubusson's would be KILLING it in other teams, guaranteed. All are between 18 and 25, all except Myles, Perrett and Sa are in either their first, second or third season of firstgrade, and would benefit greatly with consistently performing experienced players around them. The problem this year, is that the key experienced players - O'Meley, Mason, Anasta, Minichiello and Fitzgibbon have had a combination of issues regarding form and injury that has prevented them from being the leadership models for these young kids on the field. Likewise, Kouparitsas, Paea, Shackleton are a bit more experienced in terms of age, but haven't been regulars till recently, and aren't the experienced leaders we need.

With Fitzgibbon, Soliola, O'Meley, Shackleton, and most likely Mason leaving next season, a lot of responsibility will rest on the lock (Braith Anasta), the fullback (Anthony Minichiello) and the starting frontrow (Lopini Paea and Nate Myles) to provide the key experience for the team of kids to be built around. Mini and Anasta need to spend most of the season on the field, while Paea and Myles need to provide one hell of a platform for the rest of the team.

Anyone who denies that these kids have what it takes to be stars is kidding themselves. Most of these kids are barely out of school and are already looking very established in the team. They are huge talents and we are very lucky to have some of them. Add in Warea-Hargreaves, the Cordner's and Williamson next year, as well as Conn for depth, and that is strong.

Mack, the Cordners are still boys and it perplexes me why you continually factor them into your equations for season 2010. As for the rest of your post, you've highlighted the dearth of experience at the Roosters which I feel may hurt the team next year and potentially beyond if the situation remains the same.

I think give each of them maybe a handful of runs in the top team. Even 2-3 games during Origin time, they will be good for it.

These boys are something special, Boyd Cordner is one of the youngest in the NYC and he was toying with those kids till he was taken out by a cheapshot. Is Dane younger?

Mack, I reckon you'd give me a run in the Roosters side at some stage if I looked as though I might outrun a tortoise (which is debateable).

Remember, you can only have 13 on the field at one time and 17 in the squad per game.

The Cordner's are just kids mate, they aren't ready for the full-time job, but I am pretty sure Dane Cordner still has next year in the NYC, and Boyd has another 3 years eligible for the NYC too (although I very much doubt that is where he will remain for long).

These kids are insane, I'm not sure if you remember but when Josh Ailomai broke Boyd's jaw, Boyd was swearing at the trainer to let him stay on the field so he could get Ailomai back. Dane came to us because he was absolutely spewing at the Knights game plan in that match to take out his brother. Both are animals, they aren't just your average players.

Well said. These kids are very aggressive and that's a big plus for our club. They play that aggressive style every time they take the field and are kind of like the 'bash brothers'. They are as tough as they come and will only even get tougher as they get older.

The Knights fans reckoned that the Cordner boys aren't human, they are both bush animals that don't feel pain.

Soliola and FPN had good games as well.. with the latter snatching onto a brilliant pass and running an equally brilliant line for the opening try
