Winning back to back this weekend

So far this season we have gone win, loss,win, loss and win but this week is a great opportunity to win back to back matches and really stake our claims earlier for a Top 8 spot. I understand its still five weeks into the current season but accumulating these points early puts our team in a good position to stay ahead of the bottom teams and try get a buffer, rather then chasing wins late in the season and hope for other results to go your way.

The game after Gold Coast we have North Queensland in Darwin and The Steelers on Anzac Day which both will be difficult games that the boys may drop.

I think if the boys lose to the Titans this week it really does undo all the good work they did Saturday. I really hope they can push and claim victory to go 4-2. I believe they can do it.

Are you thoughts the same in regards to the importance of this game?, this early in the season or you feel this part of the season teams can still drop games and its really after Origin to really string wins together to make a proper run?.

I Agree we need to win these easier games and take advantage during origin when most other teams are weaker we shouldnt lose anyone for Origin and we need to win all the of these games this will put us in with a big shot of making the 8.

Every win helps.

Honestly, I cannot remember us winning a single Anzac game against the steelers since 2004 or so, when Freddy put that sidestep on to score from 45 metres out.

We are due. And, last weekend proved we CAN win with Archer the News Ltd number 1 cheat refereeing. He played a very strong game though and I must say he was unlucky in defeat.

Teams prove often you can make a run late in the season and still go deep in the semis, even after a bad start.

But I always like Gus and his way of thinking, every win you have before mid-season is like money in the bank.

A win would be great, especially as I'm going to the game, but in the scheme of things 3 from 6 isn't bad considering our roster and how we've played so far.

The Titties will fire up this weekend methinks. If we play the way we did against the Worriers there no reason to believe we can't win.

Inconsistency and youth go hand in hand IMO.
