I get that watching games at the SCG sucks but our home ground record there wasn't too bad over those couple of seasons. Just looking for a silver lining.

If its nine rounds, that is four homes games. Throw in the two we take away each year. Minus a bye and we maybe only looking at a couple of games at the SCG.

As a training ground perhaps but not as a match day ground for a true World Cup though especially with the World looking on in their billions.

1.12 Billion viewers tuned into watch the 2019 Women's FIFA World Cup

Another casualty of the woke agenda, why can't they play these socer games midweek, or spread them around the other grounds, womens soccer in Australia certainly has done nothing to earn the right to get the absolute best stadium. Just more woke pc bullshiit.

          Ridiculous

Obviously you are not familiar with the schedule of a true World Cup by the sounds of it and it's called Football

32 Countries qualify and there are no manufactured/made up teams in an attempt to justify having a World Cup and there are matches every day during the group stages (20/6/2023 to 3/8/2023) -Round of 16 ( 5/8/23 to 8/8/23) - Quarter Finals ( 11/8/23 to 12/8/23) - Semi Finals (15/8/23-16/8/23) - Play off for 3rd place (19/8/23) and then the Final (20/8/23)

The NRL don't own these grounds by the way and this is a World Event with Australia and New Zealand as Hosts - over 1.2 billion viewers for the 2019 Women's FIFA World Cup.

If the RLWC get even 10% of that viewership they would be over the moon

The NRL could move the games around to other grounds including to country areas and play mid week too

Can there be a Womens Sport page where Sally can dribble and bar up rather than flooding this place with its woke tripe.

Obviously you are a know all loudmouth who loves everything woke. The worldwide audience means nothing as to what ground they play at. sure they will fill the stands with woke yuppies.... is that still a thing? My bias is toward what's best for the Roosters, we bought the rights to play there, we paid the money, our fans and members paid their money, so soccer is the interloper here, and they don't deserve to play there.

You are truly a Jurassic Parker as anything relatively modern so to speak that you don't agree with you call it woke and now Yuppy as opposed to your remote past wired mind - Yuppies is a term from the late 70's /early 80's - buy a calendar it's 2022

For your info The Women's FIFA World Cup started in 1991 so hardly new. - The Men's Rugby World Cup started in 1987 for instance

It was well known particular grounds would be used for the Women's FIFA World Cup(training bases and match day) as they will be for the Men's Rugby World Cup in 2027 and any other major sporting/other event that such grounds can be booked for.

I dare say both Accor and Alliance could be used for the Brisbane Olympics in 2032 for the Women's and Men's Football as with the Sydney Olympics in 2000 there were 5 host cities for the Football - Sydney/Canberra/Adelaide/Brisbane/Melbourne plus you now have both Women's and Men's Rugby 7's

Alliance is the home ground for Sydney FC and NSW Waratahs as well and both signed long term deals to play there also so both codes are well within their rights to use this public asset ground also not only just for domestic competitions but for international matches , World Cups and Olympics as well.

The Roosters signed a 25 year deal to play at Alliance but this did not give them sole tenancy and sole use of the ground rights over any other code or event that can be held there.

The Owner of Alliance stadium is the Government of New South Wales via the Sydney Cricket Ground Trust on behalf of the tax payers of NSW and not the Sydney Roosters/NSW Waratahs/Sydney FC etc etc.

As per below " built for the future of sport and entertainment in Australia" - not solely for Rugby League by the way.

Allianz Stadium brings a world-class venue and an unmatched fan experience to one of the most iconic sporting precincts in the world. Sited next door to the Sydney Cricket Ground, Allianz Stadium is a state-of-the-art multi-purpose venue, built for the future of sport and entertainment in Australia.

                  It’s a taxpayer-funded stadium.

The women’s World Cup is one of the biggest sporting events Australia can host and a great opportunity to show off the country and inspire young girls to play sport.

I’m sure our club will cope playing somewhere else for two months. Get a grip.

Only 1.12 Billion viewers? Pretty disappointing numbers for a world cup

The India vs Pakistan cricket game the other day had an estimated 1.5 billion viewers alone.

Of course it would as I work with Indian folk who watch every cricket match they can

Cricket is a religion in those parts and no matter who is playing they will watch it.

By the way how many are watching the RLWC ?

Imagine being over corrected on a Footy forum for calling Football soccer in Australia.
100% of Aussies were raised calling it Soccer.
