Couple of things.

1. Herbie is definitely NOT depth signing as he is a starter in any club
2. Is this an enquiry in case we lose Joseph Suaalii after next season ?
3. I don't think we would pay anything more than what he currently is on at the Broncos. If he wants to win/be successful then he can come to us (similar to Brandon Smith)

It would surprise me if the Chooks signed Farnworth because like me I think the Chooks hope Billy Smith can put his injuries behind him & become a top line centre. He wont be fit till around 15 is that right?
Suaalii will move into the centres next year with Manu I think thats why the Chooks have brought Paulo & supposedly Allen.

A depth signing? Only Salvo can come up with such a statement. He’d walk into the left centre position immediately,
unless we move saullii there then we have a definite weakness there since Fattrell’s departure.

Gawd people here love to invent knowledge about players. First grade at any club? Yeah just not the Broncos... why... like WHY?!?! Oh right because Martin, Lee, Isaako, Staggs and Cobbaaaw are better players, even in a beaten team.

I've given him the benefit of the doubt in that the Drongos have lotsa above average talent in their outside backs that's being managed very poorly. They don't have Teddy, Toops, Sua'ali'i, Manu and Smith/Momirovski though... making the cut against them (with Sua'ali'i moving to centre at some point) would be no certainty at all.

Edit: aaaaah right, you guys are watching him + old mate Ryan Hall carve up in the world cup and making all these assumptions off it as if you've been eyeing him out him in reserve-grade all season as an under-rated hero? Gotcha. Carry on.

If you have never seen Farnworth then why comment in the first place.? Farnworth is a gun centre...who has played plenty of good games in NRL before the world cup..... keep eating your hat.

Yeah, i reckon that's what is happening as well i can't see why we would be chasing Farnworth as the 2 joeys will be in the centers with billy as backup

Apparently Billy is meant to be a future star but he's been with us 3 and a bit seasons now, has played just 12 times and hasn't looked particularly amazing when we've had him on plus the 3-4 major injuries means you just can't realistically risk having him, let him sign with a Super League side and work his way back into the NRL.

Would love to see Professor Farnsworth slot in at left centre.

He reminds me a little of a mix between Manu and SKD.

Does anyone know what his defense and ball control is like? His attacking prowess is fine from what I know.

But it's all about cost really.

His defensive stats on NRL.com have him at 90.15% tackle efficiency across his career. There are no error stats for him.

Farnworth is definitely very good, and Smiths injuries have been terrible, for him and for us. Smith fully fit is excellent, plenty of skill and guts. Teddy had major injury problems early as well, and look at him now. Smith is special. I hope he gets through this hell, how hard must it be for him? Comes across as a great young man as well. I really doubt we can afford Farnworth without getting rid of 2 or 3 players. Keighran and Momo the obvious choices. It's a hard one.

Renouf Atoni - probably hasn't has enough of an opportunity. Has fundamentals. Sign for another 1 year
Fletcher Baker - RELEASE
Egan Butcher - needs to be signed. Plays beyond his years, and will become a really good middle forward
Drew Hutchison - needs to be signed. Is probably the cheapest reasonably good utility on the market. You need guys like Hutch to support the squad.
Adam Keighran - aside from a decent goalkicking boot, doesnt off enough. RELEASE
Terrell May - probably hasn't has enough of an opportunity. Has fundamentals. Sign for another 1 year
Victor Radley - KEEP
Billy Smith - RELEASE
Joseph Suaalii PO (2024) - KEEP
Daniel Tupou - RELEASE, unless will take a pay cut. Might be controversial, but if Sualli is to remain a Rooster there has to be a sacrifice somewhere. Toops is still playing well, however he is at that age where injuries are really starting to creep in.
Jake Turpin - See how he goes as backup rake - TOO EARLY TO CALL
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves - Is getting on, injuries creeping in. Would love to keep, but nothing lasts forever boys. Would suggest he will makes the call himself rather than the club, and that this should be his last season before a Catalans stint. Collins, Lodge and Egan Butcher to fill the void in the middle.
Sam Walker - KEEP
Connor Watson - RELEASE. Will want more money and his performances do not justify more money
