The whole draw is a channel 9 TV fixture, not just playing Souths in the last round. Thats why the Raiders, Sharks and Bulldogs will have more easy games as they rate poorly on TV. The Broncs are seen as a TV ratings winner thats why they play more big games on Thursday/Friday nights and Sunday games. Channel 9 need them in big games on there televised nights/days.

I'd be interested to know what are the highest TV ratings for games outside SOO. I remember reading that our game vs the drizzle at AMMI patk was right up there. Whereas the GF rated surprisingly low by GF standards.

Makes a farce of having an even competition when there is a stacked deck due to tv commitments. I get the view that some fans prefer watching the tougher matches but I'd rather best up the fat kid for his lunch money and make the top 4 because unless you do you're not winning it.

The GF was effectively dead and buried after 15 mins. I know we dominated Melbourne in 2018, but even then, they still had a number of sets on our line. Parra could not and did not get over the half way line. A lot of people only half interested in it would have turned off pretty early

I enjoyed the 2021 GF. It was so satisfying to see so many Souffs fans and players in tears after the game

Funny stuff. It was up there with the reaction of the souffs crowd after Mini scored the match winner on the last play of the game in round 1 of the 2012 season

I've never even watched it.

The biggest travesty was the prelim. We were all over them early leading 12 nil. Then the refs took over. Every time we dropped the ball it was a knock on. Every time Souffs dropped it, it was a strip and a penalty. Leg ups out of their end for the rest of the game, yet they could lay all over us in the ruck, hands everywhere, no recrimination. We copped an absolute reaming!

What is everyones fascination with moving Suaalii to the centre....i get that Momo should *hopefully never play there again

But JS is such a weapon on the wing it would weaken one strength just to replace a weakness
