The whole media theatre of the NRL is so predictable as well as tiresome. It’s what the media ownership and the NRL want to generate further income for themselves.

Players suspended for offences considered minor can play in the trials and resume the suspension when the competition proper resumes.
Of course the anomaly is a player can be charged and suspended for an offence committed in a trial game though.
Also the League approved the all star game to count as a suspension game - Both Latrell Mitchell and Brandon Smith were able to count the all star game in 2022 as one of their suspension games

He's been suspended for that type of thing before?
WHY weren't other players cited for high tackles, swinging forearms to heads, especially on Teddy..."he (Teddy) slipped", "he (Teddy) was falling"...any excuse to whack Teddy in the head.
What did the refs do? Absolutely nothing.

If players dont like being whacked in the head & fans dont like seeing players get whacked in the head then there is always the ballet.

How many players would sign a waiver to voluntary relinquishment or surrender their legal rights to litigation against the league/clubs/players for injuries sustained either playing and or training?
I doubt any player would
Jarryd McCracken was successful in his litigation against the Melbourne Storm and 2 Storm players ( Marcus Bai and Stephen Kearney) for a spear tackle that ended his career - neck injury
Darryl Brohman successfully sued Les Boyd for the Broken jaw incident in a SOO game in 1983.
Ballet folk train 6 to 7 hours per day 6 days a week - takes on average 9 years to be at the professional level required. - more demanding physically than playing or participating in most sports.
