How many did he actual buy I wonder?

I worked with 2 people whose Sons played for Parramatta when their main sponsor was Asics they could basically have as many pairs of Footy boots /Sports shoes and items of sports apparel they wanted- Other things from other sponsors as well - suits/mobile phones/ "leased" cars etc etc.

Maybe the Roosters players get a year supply of Steggles products ?

Likely owns that place outright while loaded up with investment debt to minimise his tax while he is playing on a high income, then cleans up on the capital gain down the track a bit. Rent paymemts on property or dividends on shares will cover half the interest payments, the tax man will cover a quarter or so and Angus covers the rest. He would already be up a million on his Rose Bay investment he bought while at Souths

Yes, I agree. It might be modest house, but its modern, and a 2 br property in inner Sydney is worth a packet anyway. Its all Angus needs at his stage of life. Luckily, for footballers they earn good coin , and can set themselves up for life by buying investment real estate after their house, if they are shrewd enough, and don't blow their money.

The footy players are very lucky to be earning enough to afford the millions that Sydney real estate costs, I don't know how your average punter / or young couple on an average income cope these days. The cost of a mortgage , and the cost of living, in Sydney is exorbitant. Luckily, I grew up and secured my real estate before property prices went through the roof. I'd have no hope now.

Its a real tough gig for the young generation these days.

Read my post again. I was referring to Mickey Lane's suggestion that he lives in a $2.5M home in Paddington.

Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

Yeh for sure. I payed 285 in 1993 its now worth 2.5m, about a 9 fold increase, i didnt see that sort of growth in the crystal ball. My father bought 3.5 acres at Dural in 1971 for 27k and has had offers of 3.5m, 130 fol increase and he has never built on it. Crazy, he thought one day it might be worth 250 or so. A lot of fixed term mortgages for people who locked in at 3% will expire soon and a lot will struggle with new much higher interest rates

Love that Gus has a 'George Costanza' amongst his fine art. I've got a Kramer in my luxuriously appointed dwelling, just a print not the original.

Too many 'Bro's' though Gus, what the heck is that? Musbe like saying Mate I guess, I give that a hammering.
