Tedesco is signed up to 2024 and will be 32 when the 2025 season rolls around - Minichiello played on to he was 34 but he did miss a fair bot footy prolonging his career. one would say.

Maybe a bit late in his career to change positions?

Suaalii is not a FB in my eyes, he’s like Latrell he’s to big & not nimble enough like Teddy & to a lesser degree Manu.
I think Suaalii needs to play centre & play a power game be a X factor strike centre.
In regards to Teddy I don’t think the Chooks should rush to re-sign him at this stage, he’s got another 2 year contract & I think after that his best footy is behind him but if he’s still playing at a 9 out 10 level then the Chooks should just sign him on a year to year basis. The Chooks have looked after him & will continue to look after him. I can see him finishing his career at the Catalans.
On Manu I think his best position is also centre but he would also be a very good replacement for Teddy.
Who will take over from Keary Im not sure so it’s a wait & see for me, Burton would be who I would go after.
Does anyone know if Burtons contract at the dogs finishes when Kearys contract finishes at the Chooks?

Burton has an option for 2024 his way but word is he will soon be signing a 4 year 1 mill a season contract with the Dogs

Apparently teddy has approached us for a contract extension and wants to secure his long term future. He has 2 years left on his current deal.

What do we do now? Tell him to hold off and see how JS or Manu further develop??

I’ve jumped position on this a couple of times but I think ultimately when it comes to special players age is not an issue.

Freddy was great for us right up until he retired. Cooper Cronk, Darren Lockyer, Billy Slater, Cam Smith, Jonathan Thurston, I could go on..

It’s Teddy’s position for as long as he wants it in my opinion, he’s special. We can’t get too caught up in succession planning and dreaming.

We’ve developed RTS, Latrell Mitchell, Joey Manu & Joseph Suaalii in the last 10yrs, our succession is just to keep doing what we are doing because it’s working we know how to bring on a fullback or two.

I don't buy the hype around Sualii either. Good player sure, great potential maybe....but Trell knocked him arse over tit in scoring in the WC final and, tbh, I never saw anything in the highlights that suggested an exceptional FB talent. His Kings School partner Penisini performed just as well during the season. Am yet to be convinced and yeah, Burton is the absolute pick of the bunch.

Thats why I think, Sualili will stay in the hope of a flag first.
Joey Manu has been there, done it, so I see him going if a squeeze is on for money.
