NRL and Sydney Roosters young gun Joseph Sua’ali’i becomes a first home buyer at just 19
NRL Roosters young gun Joseph Sua’ali’i has become a first homebuyer just after turning 19.
Sua’ali’i has bought in Roosters heartland, paying $1.5 million for an apartment in pricey Double Bay.
The two-bedroom, one bathroom 1960s apartment is a long way from the family home at Glenmore Park, near Penrith, which cost $440,000 in 2009.
The 193cm, 100kg fullback, who turned 19 in August, bought the apartment from Sasha Kolodkina, the recently appointed Doordash lawyer who’d paid $810,000 in February 2019 when it was sold by Ray White Double Bay agent Daniel Ungar.
This time it was sold off-market by Luxe Listings star D’Leanne Lewis and her associate Ching Ching She.
There is a modern Caesarstone kitchen fitted with stainless steel gas inclusions.
The balcony overlooks leafy surrounds in the secure strata complex. There is scrambled parking in the block of about 20 apartments.
This year has seen four sales of its two-bedroom apartments priced between $1.3 million to $1.5 million.
Sua’ali’i’s intentions are not known after a request for information to his player agent/manager Isaac Moses, but the other $1.5 million buyer has had it listed for rent at $920 a week.
It had previously sold at $950,000 in 2020.
Realestate.com.au puts the two-bedroom apartment median at $1.575 million, up 5.5 per cent in the past year.
The median was at $1.085 million when it last sold.
