Allen is not a Souths reject.
He signed from Souths to the Dogs when Latrell signed with Souths. Allen has played SOO & played good football at Souths when playing FB.
Like Milanja said a 1/3 of our squad are Souths juniors or have played for Souths & some on here want Nat Butcher to be our captain.
I would swap all of them for Latrell.

Hard to believe this guy played (well) in origin. Hopefully Robbo can fire him up again. Not great signs that he couldn’t even get in that Dogs team.

NRL's a wild ride hey! One minute you can be a Darius Boyd style player who's solid, has a world class coach backing him and gets lotsa awesome ball from an invincible team.

Next minute you could still be solid but circumstances just aren't working for you (for a whole world of reasons) and you end up on the outer, being paid the same as a nobody, mid-career lawyer like Jizzy (but without the certainty that you'll be earning that for another 30 years, with some token raises along the way).

Willie Wanka said it on that podcast he does. It's those fringe players who put in a full off-season and need to be ready to play 1st grade every week who have it toughest. The NRL gets $1 billion a year. I don't think anybody in a top-30 squad should be on less than $500k a season. People can rave about how NRL players are 'over-paid' but dead set. Outta $1 billion... the players get jack shyte as a percentage!

Dunno this guy but like anybody who enters our systems, I hope he has a good experience and no matter what happens that it builds him as a person.

I'm happy for us to sign anybody who hates Souffs and is willing to seek repentance by crossing Anzac Pde. Leaving Souffs generally makes you a better man and a better player.

In fairness to Souffs fans, considering the fact that most of them didn't make it past year 3 at school, geography wouldn't be a strong point for them.
