Switch to Kayo, mate (all you need is a decent internet connection at home and a Smart TV to download the app or run it off a laptop or buy a cheapie Android media player from eBay or Amazon).

I did exactly that 2x years ago and got rid of the Foxtel IQ4 box/contract which they jacked up after the 2020 Covid wave. The pricing is ridiculously stupid and Foxtel think they can stay competitive in the market is absolutely absurd.

Yeah, I dumped foxtel a few months ago, Kayo, Stan, Prime and Disney + combined only cost less than $50 per month. much better value.

Does Kayo show every nrl game?
        Does it cover lower grades?
Does it have any other nrl content?

I also am thinking of getting rid of fox.

Do you have Kayo? If not switch to it. Pound for pound it’s probably one of the best subscription services on the planet.

Foxtel is for old people who don’t know how the internet works

Yep every NRL game is live except for the grand final (and the three Origins).

it has some magazine type shows and Matty Johns a couple of times a week.

if you have decent internet and a smart tv/Apple TV etc it’s really a no-brainer to **** Foxtel off

I’ve been thinking about kayo too, but twice watching it at my friends place it has frozen and then reloaded after 5min, when it’s not a roosters game, it doesn’t bug me, but it would shit me no end if it happens during our game.

only reason I’m keeping Foxtel at the moment, is because it has never failed me, but the price rises are wearing thin, does the $25 a month kayo include HD?

What does Foxtel cost per month? Apart from NRL it seems like a crap network.

Do you have to watch Kayo live or does it keep the weekend's games on file for a time?

Depends on what packages you choose.

Approx $100 a month for everything (sport, movies, doco's, etc)
If you want just sport with basic entertainment shows then around $60 a month.
You can also build your own basic package for a
                    no frills price under $50

I was about to flick it but they desperately gave me the full package for half the price just to keep me.

Pretty sure the $25 does include HD but I know people who aren't happy with freezing & lagging on it also. Without a set top box for Kayo your at the mercy of always relying on a stable internet connection.

They upload complete game replays and minis (20-25 min highlights) not too long after fulltime. If you come to a game a bit late you can also click on the match and select “watch from start” as well.

Foxtel got a new deal if u sign up before the 24th/12, or if you are an existing customer they match it(which I just did)

$50 all 50 basic channels plus sport with HD for 12months, they usually charge $10 extra for HD.

That seems ok. I see Foxtel at my parents and apart from the NRL and golf I'm not that interested. That about what I pay for nrllive
