Interesting discussion here but personally, as long as our emblem is prominent as well as red, white and blue, I’m not too fussed about our jersey design. I’ll wear whatever they bring out as long as the above mentioned is there.

Kinda agree, we are lucky though. I'm a fan of tradition and I like how our jumper generally maintains its traditional integrity. On the other hand; for a bit of fun, has anyone ever thought of a completely different looking strip they might like to see. As a kid, I remember thinking a RW&B version of the Sharkies strip would be cool for the Roosters to play in.

Leave the experimental jerseys to the 9s

I really like the way the club are going here. Calling the new white jersey the 'City" jersey not only gives a good nod to our history, especially the Sydney City years but at the same time doesn't commit us to the whole home and away jersey link.

The "Always Home" tag line for our main jersey locks in the traditional aspect and further pushes Robbo's idea of establishing our identity.

If every club stuck to their traditional design you won't get too many clashes. And then only a couple of teams would need "alternative" jerseys once in a while

All clubs marketing departments treat their fans like idiots by bringing out new variations of jumpers every year, plus indigi round and for fuuks sake pride round etc, and the ones who go out and buy the crap prove them right. I have a few jerseys, a retro city ford one, one from the mid 90's, the one we won the comp in 2002, a 100 year commem jersey, a steggles from 2018, and a couple of others from the early 2000's, and I've bought a few for my daughter and 2 brothers and a nephew and great nephew over the years, but seriously if I had my time over I would only buy one every 15 years or so. I mean they never actually wear out do they.

Wouldn't the goal of the marketing dept be to get the fans to go out and buy a jersey each year?

Agree, however it's about money and supporting our club financially as well as vocal support.
