  • Year Of The Rooster!

A new year of hope & anticipation.

Looking at the field & if (a big if) we can stay injury free I can see a huge year for our mighty chooks.

We still have some of the best players in the world in crucial positions & with Sammy getting bigger & better & Robbo still the best coach in the game who will learn from previous years mistakes we are the team to beat.
Panthers & Storm will also be weaker with players they've lost. Anything less then making the GF can't be accepted.

Also it will be sweet & ironic to win it in the Chinese year of the Rabbit. 2023 to be THE YEAR OF THE MIGHTY ROOSTERS.

Souths will sink/drown/capsize/run aground this season. It's the Chinese year of the Water Rabbit.

Easts will be taking home the 2023 trophy.

    Go Easts!

I can't see Penrith dropping their standards that much and for the Storm they usually find replacements to stay competitive.

A number of teams will improve and be competitive also so it wont be a cake walk in making the 8

The Roosters will need to improve their consistency and be an 80 minute team and eliminate those periods when their standards drop plus improve in the stats departments - i.e higher set completions , reduce errors and missed tackles and improve discipline.

Be Interesting how they start the season as there will be no excuses for a late start to pre-season for players if Penrith say start the season where they finished off as they had more players involved in the RLWC than any other team.

Don't understimate the influence Api had on that team. He will be a massive loss for them

Api & Kickcow are big outs for Penrith. The Storm without the Bromwich bro's, Kafusi, & the Cheese will surely lose their dominance.

TKO & Verrills have been replaced by Lodge (hopefully?) & Brandon Smith while our backline additions of J.Paulo & C.Allen have strengthened us.

I predict we will be minor premiers & beat Souths in the GF 41-0 to get our record back.

I'm so excited I'm off to lay an egg.

IMO our season's gonna depend on how we play rather than how other teams go. Yes the Drizz and Riff will probably be tough to beat, but so will the Titans (or whoever's down the bottom) if we play like shyte.

We've lost SST and Verrills while picking up the Cheese and Lodge (who added a lot of value towards the back-end of 2022).

My reckoning is that at our best, we will be the most impressive attacking team in the comp. I just dunno which other team on paper can compete pound for pound with Teddy, Toops, Manu, Sua'ali'i, Keary, Walker, JWH, Cheese, Collins, Crichton, Rads, Lodge...etc. Not disrespecting the guy's I've left outta that list but we have so many weapons all over the field. Our team's stacked and SHOULD be formidable... if we don't finish top-4 and improve on last year's finals outing then IMO something will have to have gone seriously wrong.

I think it's our year and we will win in comfortably.

Parra will struggle to make the 8.
Penrith to finish 5-8, I think they will be a divide club after the wedding speech. It will divide the playing group like Manly and the Pride jersey.
Every time the Storm lose players they find others just as good or better so I see them still being in the finals.

A fit Souths, Cronulla, Manly, Broncos will all make the 8.

Saints or Tigers for the spoon.

                        No chance.
Api, Papali'i, Blore, Bateman & Klemmer to a lesser degree are all top line forwards. Utoikamanu & Fonoa Pole arent bad either.
If a couple of their unknown backs stack up they will get back to 9th.
The Cowboys will be in the top 8 for sure.

As I said, seven weeks in England. Walked into the room, basically all I seen was my uso taking selfies, my uso face timing another girl he met in England — I mean Moesha, face timing Moesha.

What a tool! Don't think it'll impact their form but that's some serious poor form.

Our middle third is a worry. Otherwise yes, 2023 is ours.

Tend to agree. I think the Tigers are definitely headed in the right direction with their forward pick-ups.

However trading Hastings for Klemmer was a strange one.
