I reminder being at a fan day at Waverley Bowling Club and all the players were sitting in a line behind trestle tables and signing autographs. When my kids and I got to Pearce who was sitting at the end, he had his head in his phone and didn’t even look up. An obnoxious and rude human being.

Funny you mention this Thirteen. I remember being at a pre season fan day in 2017 at the old Allianz forecourt… all the boys were there including others like Freddy and bouris just to name a few.
Anywho I remember vividly on that day how well Mitch was treating the kids who could not for the life of them contain their excitement with him. He was doing rounds of photos and small talk with the parents. I had a little chat with him at the time and he was a gentleman. I obviously cannot speak for your experience and I’m sure that would’ve sucked but I think these sort of things happen all the time with footy players.
You have some bad moments but you will also have some good ones.

Mitchell Pearce has got a flogging on here for years - not all of it deserved imo.
Matt Lodge did far worse than all of Pearce's reported indiscretions put together yet he's accepted by most here as a reformed saint after less than a dozen games for us.
Mitchell Pearce bled for the Roosters and while he was never in Cronk's league you can't dispute the effort he put in for this club.
Pearce's problem was that he was trying to break out of the 'clean skin' mould of his father and I think that pressure took its toll.
To me, he'll always be a Roosters premiership halfback.

The Pearcey drunken dog video stitch-up manufactured by the 'League' and gutter press, was the biggest injustice visited on an individual I have witnessed in my time following the game.

The two interactions I have had with Pearce were both very positive and he went out of his way to have a chat about Roosters stuff. I walked away very impressed.
I also believe the penalties after the dog incident were a disgrace and at bare minimum he should receive an apology from the NRL. As part of the hysteria around the incident, There were one particular NRL consultant lobbying to give him a life ban
I agree Pearcey should be respected as a Premiership winner. He did well in 2013. However, to suggest that this halftard should be employed to drive the Rooster's culture for young players is mental. His immaturity was well demonstrated over and over throughout his career.

I agree that was a ridiculous stitch-up. He just gestured towards the dog. Bad taste maybe but hardly a crime or even an offensive act.
Imagine inviting some drunk footy players to your apartment and being surprised they played up or were after a root? And don't get started on the prick who filmed him and the media's actions that followed.
Says the bloke who uses a pic of a girl as his avatar on a rugby league forum. I’ll bet no pretty girls gone anywhere near you in real life. You just stick to your internet fantasies.
In 2024 who is the more likely to lead us to another premiership? Sammy Walker or Pearce? We play for premierships. We don't need to give MP a farewell.... that's one of the differences between Easts and the Tigpies
