Tore mine in half sideways at work . 3 Opps and still have a lot of issues . Mind you I was about 45 at that stage so age would be a big part of it

Shocking luck. Honestly sick of it. No justice in this game unfortunately.

It is a position we have cover in. Brandon Smith and Connor are very similar players, except Cheese can pass a footy. Turpin will be good to play 20 mins otherwise Egan Butch can play that mobile middle forward role every week.

Hutch - farrrrk off. Unless your a troll like KS or Robbo, nobody thinks he belongs in our strongest 17. I have a feeling he will get first crack.

Watson is a huge setback to our start.

How do we know he would play hooker anyway? He might’ve continued on with his role at prop. He was doing a good job at it too, I rewatched our win over souffs rd 25 and he was a big part of it. Had good leg drive and speed around the ruck.

Sadly growing accustomed to this injury crap now. Just got to make adjustments & move on.

Losing players in pre season to long term injuries is disheartening.

This might be the trade off we were given in some weird way for going B2B.

Fancy that Robbo and I think alike on the Hutchinater - obviously someone else thinks he belongs in the 17 and that is the person that counts in Robbo - The nobodies are obviously in the minority

A partial tear with a 2-4 month lay off is ok considering we are in January-hoping anyway.

I may be pessimistic but it just seems that if any of our players go down with a knee injury it's always the worst possible outcome.

I love Hutch…he’s a great workhorse and proud clubman…but unfortunately he’s slow as a wet week.
Fairly sure Turpin will be Robbo’s bench dummy half for the Cheese to have a break for 30 minutes or so….should give Moriarty a crack? Is Benny Marschke still with us? Salvo any idea?

Ben Marschke was not re-signed by the Roosters to either a top 30 or development contract and by the sounds of it will play NSW Cup for either the Roosters or Norths.

Watson with his new role was not going to be the second dummy half so Hutch and Turpin will be the options at this stage for the second dummy half role.

Siua Wong may come into contention for a spot on the bench now with Watson out for an extended period and possibly the season

A possible bench for a fair part of the season - noting Sitili will be out until May or so

                          14. Second Dummy Half
                          15. 3rd Prop
                          16. E Butcher
                          17 .Wong or 4th Prop

If Watson is out for the season they may either promote a player internally to a top 30 spot or go to the market as they have 2 spots available as one figures Lodge will be re-signed to make it 28 players signed for the top 30 - 3 development contract spots available as only 3 players signed so far.

Gotta feel for him, it took a season for him to find his groove at the chooks. I was really starting to doubt him until he turned it around late in the season...

A mate asked me the other day, “would you replay the 2018-19 seasons if I could guarantee 2020-22 wouldn’t be ruined by injuries?”

it’s an interesting one. I reckon we win at least 2 of the comps and maybe 3 if we replayed the last 5 seasons without the horrendous injuries of the last 3 years in particular.

gotta take it with a grain of salt. Parra fans would probably sell their entire team to the Ukraine army if it guaranteed a premiership

I still think we were the best team -- at our best -- in 2020.

Shocking luck for Conor. He must be devastated.
