I know it's very nostalgic for a lot of us but reserve grade also isn't what it used to be. Highlights, game stats/reports, full game replays and even live streamed games are more accessible than they've ever been.
Time is the biggest thing for me. Others may well be crazier fans but I can't reliably devote that much of my day to footy.

I love the idea of watching various grades + NRLW. However no matter how I spin it, our 1st grade mens team is our most exciting team to watch. It's a treat when I get to see them play and that's what I'm there to watch.

My only slight whinge is that there's no real group to watch with. For example for the 2022 final I went up to Sydney by myself and was surrounded by Souffs fans. An Easts fan nearby gave me a few dirty looks for heckling / getting excited. I dunno how but IMO it'd be cool if there was more social interaction between fans.

Where you there Stringaz that night and witnessed the same?
I'm hoping someone else recalls that same incident bc as you say it was reminiscent.

To give further context about why it happened, earlier on one of Victor's team mates was monstered by this dude and had to leave the FOP. Radley came on to the field as a sub and made it his mission to single handedly iron out this bloke and he did. The fridge did not return to the FOP .

If the NRL is so intent on promoting the women's game why not make that part of the game day experience. Reserve Grade, Women's Match and then NRL. It would be great.

Nah i'm only in Sydney in spirit living up here on the Tweed. I did watch that Manly/Knights game in real time on the TV where spud and the chief took each other out that day. Unbelievable.

I remember last year or the year before when we played the titans up here and Victor made it his mission to take down that monster in their pack where he hurt his shoulder a bit on a crazy yet legal hit.

He's a lunatic. Our lunatic though. I'd like to meet him one day.
