  • Smith Kicks Off Life in the East

    Brandon Smith has arrived.

A little over a year after his recruitment was confirmed, the squad's newest addition officially reported to Roosters HQ just days after completing his move to Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.

Despite his off-season including a six week World Cup tour of the United Kingdom, an interstate move and some well-earned R&R, Smith has not just managed to adjust to his new environment - he's managed to thrive in it.

He seems to be pretty content. My new neighbour. I’ll be looking out for him.

Always loved hearing the cheeky attitude he has had… I will now thoroughly enjoy listening to him speak... he will be a huge part of our success both on and off it.

And he's already out and about with Victor and the Marshkes... I wonder if they'll be suspended before Round 1?

Is it just me or is he looking much fitter than 2022 and also more mature about his approach?

Love the bantz but IMO he performs better when under the guidance of a Cam Smith (plus hopefully some of our legends like Teddy and Cords). Whereas his form can drop when he's off snorting coke with grubs like Munster and calling the ref a cheat.

Hope Easts take his career to the next level as he's a quality footy player (plus also a great, fun loving character).

I agree he’s looking great but I imagine he’s dropped a bit of weight as he won’t be playing in the middle as a lock. Think I remember him or storm saying he put on a little padding to deal with the rigours of that position

Yeah he was playing about 8-10kg above his usual playing weight last year. You could tell as he was used more as a battering ram during the middle periods of the game through the middle at the Storm. He looks like he's lost around 5kg of that so might have a little bit more weight to drop. Good to see he's lost the Slim Shady hair aswell.

                  Welcome Cheese!

He will certainly add character to the club.

I laughed at his comments about Keary and Walker. Funny guy.

Glad we got him. Love to see him in action close to the try line.

                        He’s no longer a storm cheese…. He’s a coq cheese now!

For all the comic persona, it's almost like he's uncomfortable in front of the camera. I was sorry to see Verrills go. I hope this guy lives up to his reputation and price tag. I can see how he might.

He certainly seems like a larrikin but I also get the sense that he is very committed to becoming a highly respected and valuable member of the Roosters organisation.
