I hope we see js move into the centers and any one of the wingers take his place. Whilst js made plenty of meters coming out of our own end I want to see him get early ball and take apart teams.

I am amazed at the number of people who have Paulo as a walk-up starter, I think it's because he is coming from South's and we want to prove a point or something, as it definitely wasn't anything he did on the field. Momo is in front of him at this point and I honestly think Allen is a chance. I thought he was a great pick up.

Momo & Allen are not wingers & would be playing out of position if put there. Neither of them have the grunt to cart the ball up doing the real hard carries.
I agree with you about JS, he will be a sensation at centre even though he is a top winger. I met JS last year at the trial match at Leichhardt & he told me he played 5/8 growing up & then when he got the scholarship at Kings he started playing FB.

I'm more of a fan of the Paulo pick-up compared to Allan. I don't think he's a guaranteed starter but I sure as hell would put him above Momo.

Just curious why you'd put Momo in the starting 17 when imo he was so out of his depth last season and showed barely any glimpse of quality in attack whilst being woeful in defence.

I get your point about the styles of wingers, take Johnson at South's he doesn't do any of the tough work but he still scores 25 tries a year. I would rather start with someone proven under the high bad and find somebody else to take the second or third carry. I often worry that Robbo is very set in his ways because it has worked previously.

I am more than happy to be wrong about Paulo but I wonder if you remember his performances last year, the only thing he caught last year was a cold. Momo was dreadful last year but he has a track record in a premiership winning team previously.

The only person Slo-Mo should be in front of is the defensive coach - maybe the sprint coach as well. He was the most disappointing player last season by a mile. I didn't expect game breaker from him either but I did expect first grade standard. He has a lot to work on.

Momo only plays decent football when he’s on the right side. Left centre was simply not within his skill set. He’d go OK at right wing, but I’d still prefer a bigger body there. Allen has played some good football in the past. You don’t lose those skills, even though his form was poor at the Dogs. He may yet surprise some of you.

I see no reason why JS wont still take the first / second hit up depending what side the ball goes to.
He will still be involved in the 4th / 5th play the ball.

I do remember him having his issues with catching bombs, but to me thats a confidence/form thing that is easily rectified with more experience. If you recall, Toops was a bit of a liability under the high ball when he first debuted now you'd put your life on him. The difference with Momo is that he looked totally out of his depth in defence to the point where we were leaking tries every time he made an incorrect read. To me, that is more than a confidence issue, it is someone who is either not good enough for first grade or is unable to play to our system. His attack is uninspiring aswell so I can't see his upside at all. I'd even take Corey Allan over him to be honest given he's shown glimpses here and there.
