So, will this cover all RL players, as in the local footy side, the youngsters playing junior footy, you know the ones playing for next to nothing.

That's up to Country Rugby League to sort out not the NRL

Nah, keep activism out of sport.

Plus I think PVL gets a bad rap, he is surely a better honcho than other figureheads weve had. Nobody's patsy, a doer.

Does anyone actually understand what the hold up is?

The RLPA talk in such generalisations.

Yes apparently until they get red cordial in the change rooms instead of orange there will be no negotiations moving forward.

What, $800k a year to play a fricken game, not enough for you? You absolute tossers. Some hard working buggers are barely scraping by week to week….

The players aren’t fighting for this. They are fighting for more pay for lower end players, women, and greater injury protection/medical cover post-retirement

Are they willing to compromise on the top end salary cap not rising though?

Greater injury protection and medical cover post-retirement seems like common sense but it’s going to be very expensive, where are the funds for that kind of injury care coming from as reports still suggest they’re asking for the largest salary cap in the history of the game.

Trouble with this is people like the young bloke my daughter goes out with has been left in a lurch because Parra can't finalise his contract until all this is sorted.Hes ba fringe 1st grader so the blokes you say they are doing this for are the ones actually being shafted
