Penrith should start their own t-shirts with a graphic of something similar as they did to us.

Are you jumping ship champ? I thought you were still a Storm/souffs admirer.

I’ve said to you at least 100 times champ (but you don’t seem to able to get it through your thick head) I like all the other teams but the Roosters are the team I follow

IMO having the Bulldogs as a weak team for the past few years is bad for the sport. Same as the Broncos.

Don’t start him on the Broncos. By his own admission, he’s already a footy slut!

Maybe so but just very satisfying seeing them struggle when you live this side of the border!

Of course! Not a fan of but I think having a strong Queensland team is important for the competition. St. George are another team that have gone to shit.

                      The Cowboys can be strong

I was at the Grand Finals in 1972/1974/1975/1980/2000/2002/2003/2004/2013/2018/2019

11 Grand Finals for 6 wins and 5 runners up

The two nameless refs in 1972 and 1980 played a big part in those runner up years -2000 making the GF was their Grand Final - 2003 and 2004 lost opportunities to say the least.

Not sure why but the Broncos loss didn't hurt that much in 2000. Maybe making it after so long was enough and thanks to Luke Phillips the score flattered us

The Penrith loss was so hard to take. We were morals..when it rained I started to worry

Enjoyed the Storm GF win the most, wow we were on !!!
If only Hegarty had scored that try in the first few minutes vs Brisbane in 2000 - I think the ball was knocked out of his hands - could well have 6-0 up and who know's what could have happened.

I think making the GF was their Grand Final and they were not ready for it I suppose.

Brisbane had a side chock full of SOO and Australian players as well plus Harvey Howard an English/GB International

Didn't Webcke play with a broken arm ?

                            Yep, he did.

The other thing about that game and that year was that it was played under the unlimited interchange rule. Brisbane had a massive side and they used something like 45 interchanges that day.We used way less - pretty ridiculous.

Fittler had the game of his life the week before but he wasn't fit for the GF, not by a long way which hurt us.

Just blessed to a Easts supporter and still live where the sun rises first, however the 2 back to back premierships of 74/75 and 18/19 super special due to my daughter attending the 18/19 victories with me and experiencing them at the same age as i did with the 74/75wins. I was there in 75.

The Dogs are building and there will be more raids by them on the Panthers playing list come November 1 2023. Hopefully Gould isn't still looking at adding a few more of our Junior rep and Jersey Flegg players to the Dogs squad list.
