As far as wingers go or those that could play wing if required - Toops/Paulo the main ones (Toops now injured) - then others in the Top 30 NRL Squad who can play wing but have other positions listed as their main one - Suaalii/Billy Smith/Allan//Manu.

Paulo and Allan have been signed for 1 year only - Dom Young and now Lewis Murphy are new signings for 2024.

Organising Half : Sandon Smith - has longer distance with his kicks and also an accomplished goal kicker - Walker is also an accomplished goal kicker though - Be interested in how Walker and Smith combine in NSW Cup this weekend - Walker at Half and Smith at 5/8 - maybe an option no one has considered when the times comes.

The Roosters way is not just a style of football though it encompasses more than just that- it's a team / club culture thing - football and non football related behaviour expectations etc.

Storm have a strong team and club culture - players have to fit in - if not they don't last at the Storm -could call that the Storm way - Swans "no dickheads" policy -the Swans Way in other words - football and non football related behaviour expectations.

How did you come up with 3 weeks?
If Walker is qwerking his skills he should need anymore than 3 weeks. Manu is a gun centre so we lose out in two positions atm. Added to that Manu is not in top form so switching positions at this time is none too smart. if anything, let him get back in form and then try it. Love Manu and he is a favorite as I am sure he is with many others but there is nothing he is doing at 6 that he cant do from the centres; he just needs to throw himself in the mix more often.

Manu is neither a 6 nor an organising 7.
Manu is a right centre, who should be told to stay in the line in defence, and stay out at centre in defence.
He can be used anywhere in attack to score tries like he did on Anzac Day.

A couple in Jersey Flegg though - Isaac Guba and Xavier Chatfield-Mooka

Not sure what has happened to Vuate Karawalevu as he hasn't played since round 3 in NSW Cup

None of our backs have great pace
. What they lack in pace they make up in skill , strength and footwork. Toops may have one more year 2024, but as an aging winger is more prone to injury and longer recovery. Dom Young is a great p/u and Murphy is worth a punt.

He is back playing with the Silktails....has been told there are a few things to work on (mostly defense)

This signing makes sense tbh, will be out for most of next year but gets to see how the club is run and will get to play a few games in reserves - also means Toops should get a 1yr extension

Come 2025 though there will be numerous spots open in the backline with Suaalii and possibly Toops & Keary both gone.

I know Billy Smith was a speedster but after 3 knee deco’s I’m not sure now.
I would still love to see BS playing fully fit in the centres.

The guys who I seen last week Fitzgibbon and Anderson went alright. Fitz can attack (21 tries in 23 games), needs some work in defence. Anderson was one of our best on the weekend I thought. See how they go this weekend.

Hope he hasn't lost his speed after his ACL injury ...

There's also Suallii 2.0 (Tavita Henare-Schuster) who we've apparently signed as well ... I'd be keen to see more of him !

Not Vuate Karawalevu strong suit his D - Not sure they will retain him past this year - On a 1 year Development Contract

Murphy would be close to playing from round 1 in 2024 as he did his ACL first week of March - 9 months or so recovery

I was wondering what happened to him. He must be pretty ordinary if he can’t get a run in our nsw cup team. That’s a considerable demotion

Third time lucky for Robbo with pommie wingers we can only hope.

There is no substitution for speed and this kid has plenty.

Yes - unfortunately sounds like he's moved from the position of 'talented youngster with all the physical traits who just needs to learn how to play League' to 'guy who isn't particularly young anymore and struggles with defence'.

A shame given all the hype around this move.
