Hopefully banished. Praying he doesn’t get one minute this season. Didn’t do anything last year to deserve a start at all

      All good mate.

Expecting an improved season from E Butcher. He is potentially our x-factor in the forwards if he pulls his finger out.

Keen to see how Junior Pauga goes. At least we have some depth in the three-quarters now.

will be good to see how suaalii goes in the centres and how he combines with toops. all goes well and toops will score a lot of tries this year. smith, lodge and lindsay up front will be fiercesome and when you throw jwh into the mix even better. good luck to paulo - right wing is our most contentious spot.

They must be working hard with young Jo to develop a draw and pass game if he will be playing Center.

You would hope so because there was nothing last year that indicated he had one. Not a criticism, just an observation. Personally I think he's better suited to the wing.
Mini and RTS both had a few years there before transitioning to fullback and I don't see the why it wouldn't be the same for young Jo. Hope he proves me wrong.

the fact that toops is playing surely confirms that suaalii is playing centre this year. it's a good chance for them to get a hit out together. i can see the two joeys playing like latrell and turbo in the centres in the soo team

Cannnnnnot wait!! The footy is back! So much to watch individually in this game. Lots of players I can’t wait to see have a run!

That is a team that is far stronger than we have put out in the first trial over the past few years which is great because I think it will help in getting a better start to the season.

I reckon the centres will be Manu and Slomo.

Suaalii has been training at left centre all offseason, and Robbo is giving him time together with Toops in the the trial. I'd say that's a pretty big indicator. Especially when Paulo has been training at right wing.

I can see Robbo loading up the left side attack. Keary and Sam will love kicking to them in the attacking zone.

Manu is such a player on the right, would perhaps stifle the weapon that is young joe who I guess shouldn't remain a winger long term.

So jaxon needs to make his strong carries out of the end, and support Manu, be ready for the flick pass.

How do you know he has been training at left centre all off-season? I just can't see Slomo playing reserve grade, not that I want him in the centres.

Most pics I’ve seen have him in the 3. You’d have to imagine the only reason him and Toups are playing in the first trial is for combos.

I agree with Serenader, from all accounts (training pics, whispers and this line-up), it looks like Paulo has won a spot on the wing and JS has shifted to the centres and leaves no room for Momo. Only thing on the contrary is that Momo is fairly high profile (I use that in the loosest way possible) given he's won a comp. I don't think he'd want to play reserve grade given it was off season news a couple years back that he wanted to leave Penriff due to salary cap. You'd think if he was banished to reserve grade that he'd want out and we'd be hearing about it, which makes me think that he might have a shot at being in Rd1 side (unfortunately).

Could care less if he left the club but if he stays as a reserve grader, I'd respect that and shows the culture of our club is strong given premiership winners in their "prime" are happy to not be in the 17.
