After the game they intentionally interviewed a young bloke by the name of Tallis Duncan who the Vermin purposely poached from us soon after we signed Sualli.
Gordon quizzed him about his junior background and got aroused the second he revealed he's a Roosters junior.
Couldn't help himself by poking fun at our non existent junior base.....farkwit!

Tallis' would be close to the most hopeless sports "commentator" in any professional sport in the developed world. How on earth does he get a gig anywhere? He has no insight and offers absolutely nothing. An embarrassment that Fox even employ him.

Without a doubt for me and as much as I love him . King Wally . Dam that man has a voice on the sports news that can put you to sleep during the highlights reel of all our premierships. Think he has just retired so things may improve.

When they are a successful first grade player they are essentially minor celebrities amongst league followers. This means that when a player retires and moves into broadcasting they are already a bankable commodity. They already have fans that will translate to network viewers. This is probably the main reason that networks recruit former players to host their shows. The problem that I have with this is that it is gospel to them that former players are skilful and creative comedians with razor sharp wit and the talent for observational comedy. They aren't in the slightest. Believing that a good rugby league player has the skill to be a good reporter is the same as believing that a good reporter has the skill to be a good rugby league player.

I am willing to stand corrected, but I reckon that 9's The Footy Show introduced the idea that former front rowers telling tits and arse jokes is what the game needs.

They are your bread & butter of the types that play the game.
Greg Alexander & Robbo are rarities but 95% of players & ex players are boofheads & without the boofheads there would be no game.

He is one of the reasons why I haven't watched any rugby league programs for a few years now. I can only stomach Roosters games these days.
