Only thing on the contrary is that Momo is fairly high profile (I use that in the loosest way possible) given he's won a comp. I don't think he'd want to play reserve grade given it was off season news a couple years back that he wanted to leave Penriff due to salary cap. You'd think if he was banished to reserve grade that he'd want out and we'd be hearing about it, which makes me think that he might have a shot at being in Rd1 side (unfortunately).

Could care less if he left the club but if he stays as a reserve grader, I'd respect that and shows the culture of our club is strong given premiership winners in their "prime" are happy to not be in the 17.
Didn't he technically win the comp with Melbourne in 2020 as well?

I know some people don't like it but Bloke in a Bar discussed his form and their opinion was that he's an awesome defensive centre who's had a massive form slump. Their suspicion is that he's playing with a shoulder injury as you don't just lose the sorta form he had.

Just an opinion obviously, but IMO he gets a rough time. Smith and Momirovski are both great options. To me it's really just that Sua'ali'i is soooo much better than either of them. Paulo will be interesting and I hope he kills it on the wing.

Then there's Allen, Karawalevu and (next year) that Pommie dude... if anybody gets cut or injured, I think it'll be interesting to see them play eventually.

Yeah look mate, you and Denan on the pod in question both make good sense. He was a gun defensive centre for the Riff and even in that game for us in the prelim against Souffs at the old SFS. Had a great temperament on him. Even at times in the Riff's run in '21 he was a great attacking option. Remember he kept the young gun Tago out of the side, Staines out of the side, ended the career of stalwart Mansour a former rep player AND pushed Crichton (a now 750k a season fullback) to the wing. Lord knows what has happened to him since coming to us. It may be an injury, it may be a different system but whatever it is, he has looked absolutely awful (and I mean reserve grade... at times park level awful). Never has there been such a form dip other than maybe the mighty MILF. Now watch him get 3 tries against us in Rd1 and wind back the clock to 2015 hahaha.

Our options in the back are a luxury. Allan whilst shite in the past 2 seasons, is a former Origin player and is considered 3rd or 4th choice. Not many clubs have that luxury. Billy Smith showed glimpses and there has gotta be something in him that the club sees.

PS: I don't think Momo won the comp with Melb. He got injured and never found his way back into the squad towards back end of season. Wasn't in the 17 but I think was in extended squad.

I wonder why Corey Allan isn't in the squad for the trial.

After spending time at Souths and Bulldogs I assume he’s still in quarantine and they are trying to wash all the shit off of him.

Tupou is out Alfred Smalley is in. This guy made his debut against us for Manly in the pride jumper game. Went OK to.

I don't buy the gun defensive centre tag on Slomo. He missed 13 tackles in a game last year. Renouf , ET or Meninga wouldn't have done that if both arms had been cut off.

How long is the quarantine in these cases mate? Like two weeks im guessing following a complete and thorough cleansing ...possibly available for next trial, maybe.

I hope he turns out to be a good player for the Chooks. Im not sure where he'll play so we'll just have to wait & see.
