  • Bronze members Dealing with ticketek

Everytime I know I have to deal with Ticketek to get seats I break out in a rash and start to sweat.

Why Ticketek if I am logging in at 3:00:01 would I want to sit in Bay 1.

Why Ticketek does my browser of Firefox or Edge not allow you to accept seats which are clearly not taken.

Why is it always so hard. It’s going to be fully taken up so just open up all the bays in bronze at once - not randomly.

    Anyone else share my pain?

    Awful legacy company who used to be the only gig in town and never had to be efficient or compete, now they have to and are hopeless at it;

    - Telstra
    - Australia Post
    - Taxis
    - David Jones and Myers

I entered all our barcode numbers and when I got to checkout it charged me the full amount it seems (not complimentary). I thought the balance would be $0 at checkout. Ticketek had my card on file so when I hit proceed I was charged for the tix. Now I have to lodge a claim with Ticketek…….Grim

It's very debatable whether competition has worked though and you might say prices have decreased and what not as a result of competition but at what cost.

Too many countries relying on a small number of other countries for a wide range of imported goods and services and all you need is a conflict and supply quickly dries up.

You need to have some control of supply and maintain various industries to viably operate within your country to avoid and offset any regional and world conflict situations.

When you are not playing on a level playing field as far as for an example wages and conditions go then the so called efficiency and ability to compete you mention is a race to the bottom.

Who can supply these goods and services for the cheapest price will win out and thus drive out of the market place those competitors paying award rates and oncosts as they will not be able to compete

Whitlam then Hawke and Keating led us down this path with their privatisation agenda.

All well and good to reduce tariffs/ Industry trade barriers and increase competition but as I said this creates an inequitable playing field and unfair advantage that importers have over Australia Industries in terms of the cost of doing business where payments of wages and on costs are the highest costs that Industries and Businesses incur in Australia.

For an example Buttons car plan slowly but surely killed off the Vehicle Manufacturing Industry as they could not compete with cheaper Vehcile imports.

We used to get very good sized and priced T-Bone steaks /Lamb Chops for an example from our butcher and now they are very much smaller in size and much higher in price - the best ones go to the export markets nowadays

We are also told that local climatic conditions and consequences of the global pandemic has caused the price of food , goods and services to increase

When last overseas in a certain country I was surprised to see Australian beef, lamb and pork for sale including the price of it compared to what we would pay- This was quality meat as well

So one assumes the Australian consumer are the ones paying increased prices to cover the reduced revenue received by exporters from their exports.

There is always an option on Ticketek to select a bay and then select which seats in that bay.

Trying to get a wheelchair spot is so much harder than it should be.

Billy Gunn - Good luck getting a seat for the South’s game. I feel another rash coming on tomorrow around 11am.

Let’s hope it’s more like RD 26 last year and most of Bronze seats were Roosters Supporters. Where I sat for the Semi Final amongst the ferals was an eye opener to life - not that I have led a sheltered life. It was brutal they way they carried on.
