I really did like Corey Allen at Souffs and am hoping that the Bulldogs' lack of focus and their inability to put it all together in reent years account for his form slump. It's fairly clear that Trent's and Nick's first preference is to make somthin' out of nothin' but we'll see with Allen. Uncovering the pearl is certainly no given. I see the appeal of Young, he's a big unit and fast but big money too.

They aren't letting him go

He is off contract at seasons end and there is a huge amount of interest in him for obvious reasons

Knights want to keep him but like any struggling club it's hard to keep them when they would be striving for success

Ryan Hall was unlucky in doing his ACL just after signing - We didn't see the best of Ryan which was unfortunate- Toops and Brett Morris also made it hard for him to get regular NRL game time as well.

Dominic Young is a different proposition in having only played 2 ESL games before signing a 3 year minimum wage contract deal with the Knights as a 19 year old.

So any of this ESL standard compared to NRL standard comparison won't be a criteria in considering to sign him or not - He has played 26 NRL games since his 2 ESL appearances and his best is in front of him.

It's a wait and see as there are other clubs in the mix to sign him including his current club the Knights.

For me the default position is always Pommie winger = No. The more overarching position is Pommie in general = usually No, but when it comes to Pommie wingers, it's a much more clear cut No.

Maaaate. To look even remotely capable in that Knights team is an achievement in itself. He shouldn't be commanding huge money by any means and I reckon we'd be offering lower than every other club by selling our culture and premiership potential. Two things Newcastle lack badly. But to say he is rubbish/overrated is wrong. Bloke is a beast who is only going to get better. You can coach defence into someone and improve their ball security over time. Get him in on the right wing in 2024 and then move him over to the left when Toops retires/goes to SL.
