Maybe they rate Momo? We were mostly pleased when we got him back. personally I thought he was a lot better in back end of the season.

I wouldn't be paying big money for a winger. Young is a good finisher but there are plenty of young blokes coming through with the athleticism and skill to finish a movement. I don't see him as an outstanding talent.

I’m pretty sure Allen is only on a 1 year deal & Momo I think only signed for 2 years,
It would shock me if Dominic Young didn’t sign with us especially after going to Robbo’s place for dinner.
The chance to win a comp would be hard to knock back.

Replacement for Toops did someone seriously say?? He's not fit to tie Toops' bootlaces. Super League grade at best, scores some runaway tries against minnows in the world cup and now he's a must buy over here?... good lord.

And what did you think of Tupou when he was 21? At that age Toops was in his 1st year with us and played 3 NRL games. Young has played ~24 NRL games and is already an International at the same age. It's not fair to compare a 21yo with one year in the NRL to a guy with 11 seasons behind him.

I don't want Toops going anywhere. He is a bonafide legend, but the reality is that he's 31-32 and has less footy in front of him at the highest level than Dom Young. Young on the right and then moves to the left to play the Toops like role of tall, athletic finisher for many years to come. I don't mean directly replacing him in the 17 the moment he signs.

And Waylander is right, Toops wasn't fantastic at 21. Most people were probably cursing him out of the side because he wasn't very good under the high ball. Young is better at 21 than Toops was.

Yup. Paulo and Allan were only signed on 1 year deals I believe and neither of them were probably guaranteed anything given neither of them were nailed on starters at their previous clubs.

Momo signed on a 3 year deal, this is his 2nd year of the contract. Something tells me he might be involved in the negotiations with Young. We might release him early to get Young for next season. He has been nowhere to be seen in the trials nor the training camps.

As a young English dude it's not exactly a hard sell to get him to the Eastern Suburbs. Take him for a morning coffee on a warm Sunny day at the beaches.....job done. Not exactly hard on the eye around there
